When I first started playing off shore, I ALWAYS posted up via FedEx/Cashier's check. Played that way for YEARS until I finally broke down about 18 months ago and realized it was easier to move money with Neteller.
I think my first offshore post up was around 2000 football season. I posted up with FedEx/Cashiers Checks for the first 5 years. I didn't really think anything of it.
Now, Neteller has stolen my money. I barely got my money out of BOS before the melt down. And now I have a balance with Cascade that I'm not sure is really there or not. (At least they are still answering the phones and taking my bets! As long as they still answer the phones and take my bets, all is good imo. I am too scared to ask for a check...if they don't pay, I have to face reality and I don't want that. I honestly plan to lose the money eventually, but here lately, I can't lose a bet with Cascade.)
Sooooo...I don't even want to THINK about a college football season with locals. Office hours. Meetings for settle up. Low limits. No money lines. No half time lines. It's bullshit.
And of course, in my mind, I KNOW they get stiffed on credit balances from time to time. The post-up shops offshore don't have those concerns (or shouldn't). In my mind, a post-up shop ought to be able to pay more consistently than a local...I don't want my ability to collect resting on their ability to collect from the average american...not good. The average american is an absolute financial fuck-up, imo.
I am VERY tempted to post up with BoDog, BetJamaica, ThePig, Guardian, Hollywood, WSEX and 5Dimes again this season via cashier's check. All my friends think I'm nuts for even thinking about it. Me, on the other hand, I don't think I can make it through a football season WITHOUT the ease and convenience of the offshore books.
Any thoughts???? Are the offshore books doomed without Neteller????
PS: Anyone think there is a prayer Cascade will continue to take my baseball action until I can zero out? I only have about 10 units there, so I should be out pretty soon.
