Which degree would be better for a career in sales business or marketing?

does not matter your degree. our sales reps have all kinds of degrees. i would go with a general business degree over a mark. degree.

I have one in marketing. If you want a course that will help you as much or more than anything college offers, take the Dale Carnegie course or read his book.

Remember 80% of success is showing up.

Marketing...

Won't matter once you get your foot in the door, as you won't use anything you learn, but marketing will get your foot in the door more easily IMO.

sociolgy with an emphasis in leisure studies. make college easy and just get ur degree. sales is non specific degree in most cases. bang as many girls as poss in college too

exactly right. i would start trying to build relationships with people in the industry you are trying to get into. it is all about who you know. made 80k my first year out of school. i would never have gotten the job if i didnt know someone.

i will say this too. i work my ass off and love every minute of it. people do not realize how hard it is. they think we go to work whenever we want and drive around all day.

Thanks to everyone for the responses. I already have my foot in the door and almost three years experience. Just so happens the company I'm with and most others I have looked at want that 4 year degree to advance from where I am. Just going to have to do it. Won't be that bad I already have some credits from community college just have always tried putting school off but it is impossible today.

sales is the profession to go into also if u dont have a degree...

lots of different roads you can go down to make it in sales
