5* Detroit Tigers -103
1* Detroit Tigers -1.5 +185

Strongest play of the MLB season thus far for me.

The Tigers just faced a pitcher with great movement yesterday in Sabathia, and today they should be adjusted to a pitcher who relies on movement rather than velocity. Carmona relies heavily on his sinker, and if it's not moving well, he is in for a long night. Pitcher's pitch well in streaks, and Carmona has been outstanding this year, but struggled last outing and I strongly believe that continues tonight.

He is a young pitcher who will feel some pressure pitching on the big stage tonight for Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN facing a hungry Tigers team who blew a lead yesterday and now trail the Tribe by a full game I believe. MUST WIN for Detroit tonight and they need to avoid the sweep.

Pitching is all about mentality and confidence. When Maroth steps on the hill vs. the Indians, he has that swagger to him. He is 8-1 with a 1.81 ERA against the Tribe the last 3 years and he has these hitters off balance. Only one hitter in the Indians lineup is hitting .278 against him, while the rest are in the .100's and low .200's (this is over many AB's also.)

Im on my boys also to get it done and avoid the sweep.....

Sorry to say Pyro....Im also on the Pistons......I like the Tigers.....but Im betting the Pistons .......which is nothing but a pure homer move on my part......I actually expect the Cavs to win tonight, just like the Jazz did yesterday and get back in the series......but they might win by only a bucket, therefore I would win, being + 4......

I know if the Cavs wanna have a shot...they gotta put it all on the line tonight.....with that being said....Im taking the Pistons *Shrugs*

Interesting. Didn't cap this one as I assumed I'd have plenty of time to read writeups from others before gametime and maybe just follow someone if I didn't have the energy or time to get to this one. I know you have a pretty good read on the Indians. Might join you on this, but have to give it a little though. BOL and thanks for the writeup.

Im playing the Pistons and the over pretty big in the NBA tonight also.

Cleveland sports and their fans just aren't the same as other cities right now. Seems like we are just waiting for them to fail and disappoint like they always do. I could see the Jazz coming out strong last night and winning, but I can see the Cavs losing tonight and then Detroit laying down in Game 4 so they can wrap it up on their homecourt.

Hopefully Cleveland sports has a disaster tonight, cause if they don't I willl...

Good luck to Detroit Pistons/Tigers tonight.

This play hands down fits my system better than any play so far this year and I feel strongly about it. Indians don't have that killer instinct to put teams away like other cities.

Only thing keeping this from a 10* GOY is public % (only 62% on Detroit, not bad), and the Tigers depleted bullpen right now. If it wasn't for those, I would have played the -2.5 RL also....

Good luck Jibba.

Hope this one cashes for us. I owe you approximately 357 winners, would be nice to knock that # down a bit.

Absolute disaster for me today in NBA and MLB.

Sorry to those who followed, 1 bad pitch to Garko was the difference in this one. Absolutely frustrated right now and really thinking about calling it quits til football season. Definitely taking the day off tomorrow, hope everyone has a good Memorial Day and Good luck.

i thought maraoth threw terrible, left way too many pitches over the plate, that ultimately ended up in the stands.... tigers could not bring home any RISP the whole game, and that fagg 3rd base coach would not send anyone home

I was on the Tigers for 6* too, my second highest play in the MLB this week. Tough loss. We'll get 'em next time, man!
