This one looks wayyyy to easy. :think2:

Here we have a pair of teams who have put up 24, 14 and 14 runs against each other over the last 3 days, and an average Snell pichting against a slumping(badly) Lohse. Throw in a par of bullpens whose era's average over 4, and I see this game going nowhere but over.

Like it alot, too only worry is if Snell throws a gem. He is a young star in the making and can dominate at times as he has showed. But will load up on the Over as well. Good Luck!

Snell had a 4.74 era last season, but he has looked decent so far this season. I do expect Pitt's bats to account for much of the scoring. They've decimated the Red's pitching staff, puting up 14, 9 and 10 runs on the Reds the last 3 days.

As long as those bats stay as hot as they have been, we should be in great shape :toast:

Wouldn't Pitt be a bet for also?

If the total is up in the air due to a possible Snell gem, why not simply take the Pirate team total over the number?

That's another option-especially considering how hard Cincy had to hit the bullpen after Saarloos got lit up in the 1st yesterday.

Very good point. I'm still trying to figure out why the Pitt side is so cheap. I'm going to bite on Pitt for 1/2 of the total wager.

TT the price is so cheap cause they want you to take PITT. IF you have made money on Pitt in this series already then they are a play. BUT If you think the odds are wrong here , they are not, REDS are the play today. TOUGH to sweep a 4 game series on the road, don't care WHO is playing WHO?

I just saw your thread. You have a LOT more faith in Lohse than I do.....and I mean a LOT.

One of us will have a winner this morning :toast:

Louis, I can't lay money on the Reds. Lohse has lost his last 6 starts & has shown no sign of improvement that I can see.

Leaning towards the under too. Seeme like Vegas set this line to entice over bettors. Pitt at -115 seems fishy too. I would lean Cincy and under.

I understand points on not betting Lohse cause hes lost 6 straight. UNLESS I made money against him on any of those 6 games which I didn't I WOULD NOT bet against him today. Vegas is wrong at times making lines and they are enticing you to take PITT and the over and from what I'm hearing, many are falling into that theme. Will know in bout 4 hours from now when game goes final. Good luck to those on PITT and the over . Although in Vegas the REDS opened up at +112, at this moment most places have the REDS at +100. Now thats even more fishy to say the least. Total stayed at 9 1/2 throughout.

These posts are hilarious. "Vegas is trying to entice you" I didn't realize vegas knows the outcome of games before they start. The lines are set to get equal action on both sides there are no "traps"

What's more funny is that you come across in this post as if you know exactly what the linesmakers are thinking and doing.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, don't be so ignorant and dismiss it.

If you think lines are set to equal $$ on both sides in EVERY GAME you are 100% wrong. NO TRAPS,lol, yeah OK. VEGAS has lines that are off everyday at least in one or 2 games. Your job is trying to find them. UNFORTUNATELY this is not one where the REDS are only +100 with their worst pitcher throwing today. If you think that this line is made to even things out think again. This line favors PITT huge but the right side is the REDS.
