I took a few IQ tests about 5 years ago when I first started looking around the interent...I took a few earlier today...I notice now they try and sell you all these products after you take the test, before they email you your score.

The type of questions that drive me nuts- 'If moops are doops and boops are goops, are goops moops" ? stupid question! I seem to do okay with this question, I really don't understand the point of this question though.

My scores have been in the mid 120 range (118-127-122-128) but some of the questions I've missed have been very cheesy IMO.

Does anyone know if speed is part of the score? If you go slower does that lower your IQ score?

Yes, they're bullshit.

They try to compute you alot smarter so you buy their products at the end because you feel good about yourself.

Mid-120s actually scales way down to about Forrest Gump. Nice job.

All the IQ tests I've ever taken are heavy on sequencing. In other words, it shows 3 objects and you guess what the 4th object is based upon the sequence of the first 3. Or else it uses number sequences. I believe this is only one way to test intelligence yet it is used heavily.

Another thing I noticed is that IQ tests seem to test you on things that you can learn. I don't believe IQ is based upon what you know. Any idiot can learn a bunch of stuff. IQ should be based upon how you use the stuff you know.

This is what I'm getting at...if I practiced these tests I would end up getting better...I didn't think IQ tests you could improve upon.

I would right now but I'm borderline drunk so wouldn't want to give myself the advantage. I'd be glad to oblige you tomorrow.

P.S - It was an internet forum joke, not personal. However, I enjoy intellectual challenges because I'm often underestimated, thus it stands.

I got 131 too. But here's something they got wrong (retards!).

Here is one question:
"If some Toogs are Bloogs and all Gleems are Bloogs, then some Toogs are definitely Gleems."

I put "Neither" since you can't tell.

They give this explanation to prove their claim that you should have chosen "False":

Example: "If some cars are green and all leaves are green, then some cars are definitely leaves."

I contend that you could say this:

If some plants are green and all leaves are green, then some plants are definitely leaves.

So you can see that you can't tell since some statements are true and some statements are false.

Then for question number 36 I put in the right answer, 62, and it counted it wrong for me.

it depends, the test I took (WAIS) had questions of things that you had to know, you can be the smartest person on Earth when it comes to logic/reasoning but if you lack knowledge in basic areas (basic not anything fancy) then what you achieve through reasoning/logic ends up being severely limited

btw as for the "does speed matter" , in the 'math ' part I got bonuses if I answered quickly so in that part in particular it did matter how fast you answered (they timed your answer)

I think the key here is what you asume about what a Toog,Bloog or Gleem is /could be

In their example they assume that Bloog is a 'quality/property' that a Toog or Gleem can have , in your counter example you make it so that a Gleem (leave) is an actual part of a Toog (plant)

I could also make it so that it is true example

"if some people are American and all Californians are American then some people are definitively Californians"

in my case Toog (all people) and Gleem (Californians) the Gleems are a specific subset of Toogs and the Toog can have diferent 'qualities' that is their origin.

I am pretty sure that by now I am over analyzing the issue and losing time in answering other questions but without knowing what a Toog/Glem/Bloog (and how do they relate to each other, is one part of the other? or a subset of a specific set) etc is I would probably mark neither as its the closest to "cant tell"
