John Paxson one of the best GM's in the NBA in my opinion. Get on the phone and do whatever the hell it takes to bring Kobe in Chicago. The only guy I dont want being involved in the trade in Luol Deng anyone else can go. Get a decent low post scorer via draft or free agency and the Bulls will be winning more titles. This is what I would like to see. Do it Pax

Already discussing this in the Kobe demanded a trade thread... Pax is reportedly working on it but we'll see... Gordon and Noicioni would be gone and one more player... I said throw in Heinrich and try and grab a PG in the draft... TT will develop after a full season and be that low post scorer...

Remember, Kobe has to OK any trade.
:ughhh:

Kobe would love to play for Chicago. Are you kidding? Trying to bring the title back to Chicago and be put in the same breathe with Mike... If you don't think he would want to come to Chicago with his Ego you are insane... Not only that but the Bulls are a dominant scorer away from a Finals apperance

Sorry didnt see it man... yeah Gordan would definitely be gone which whatever and Nocioni which is fine. I would be fine with getting rid of Heinrich also, Duhon is more than capable of seeing bigger minutes. He is a very smart player and plays excellent defense. He wont be as good of a scorer as kirk but he can dish and play defense, and if you have Kobe on your side thats all you really need. Tyrus Thomas is going to be a freak in this league, I would love to see Kobe,Deng,Thomas,Duhon,Wallace as the 5 starters opening day... that would be one sick team... and like you said we can get a pg in the draft we have the #9 pick so their will be plenty of guys out there

No, Hinrich would not be a part of it. They want him to stay the PG. Just that they would like a bigger backcourt mate. Obviously Kobe would be ideal. He also played with HInrich for Team USA and is a fan. He was almost a Bull a couple years ago. Think Kobe would really like to go to Chicago.

Gordon, Nocioni and the #9 pick seems fair, maybe more than fair. Not sure if it would work salary-wise.

Bulls would still need to somehow get a lowpost scorer in the mix though.

yeah he wont ever be a low post scorer really he is more of a garbage scorer. Meaning he will come flying in for loose balls, tip dunks, ally oops, and get all of his pts off of those type of things which is really nice to have

He has a decent looking jump shot and he is extremely quick for a guy his size. If he can be taught a few post moves he will be a very nice low post scorer... He has the talent and the athletic ability. Reminds me a lot of a slightly more athletic, smaller and faster Amare Stoudamire..

to think that there is a chance LA would give him up for Gordon Nocioni and a draft pick is a joke and can't be taken seriously

Not saying it will happen, but to think it's a joke and not close to fair, is wrong. Gordon is a near all-star. Nocioni is a high-quality role player. And the #9 pick in this year's draft is a prize. You can add 3 really good pieces to a puzzle right there in exchange for 1. I think it would be a good deal overall for both.

was screwing around on espn trade machine and same up with this (then guessed on the lottery picks for the teams involved)

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/featur...7~996~558&teams=4~2~2~13~2~29~2~13~29~13~4~13

Chicago gets: Kobe, Pau Gasol
LA Lakers get: Pierce, Telfair, Ben Gordon, Mike Miller
Celtics get: Ben Wallace, Sefolosha, Radmoanovich, Maurice Evans
Memphis gets: Tyus Thomas, Theo Ratliff (salary)

I know Memphis isn't getting much but Gasol wants out and Thomas would fit in well there as they blow it up with a talented lanky athletic team - and it appears they just hired a Phioenix assistant for their coach so run and gun it is

projected lineups:

Lakers - Smush, Pierce, Miller, Odom, Bynum (Gordon, Walton, Cook, Kwame)
Chicago - Hinrich, Kobe, Deng, PJ Brown, Gasol (Nocionni, Duhon, Sweetney)
Celtics - Rondo, Green, Corey Brewer, Jefferson, Wallace (West, Wally, Radman, Perkins)
Memphis - Lowery, Kinsey, Gay, Tyus, Noah (Swift, Warrick, Adkins, Stoudamire)

whaddaya think?
