Wie wore bandages on her wrists during the round and said her withdraw was because she "tweaked" the injury and not because of an LPGA rule that bans nontour members for the year if they shoot 88 or higher. Wie was two bogeys from that scenario when she stopped.

"I had issues with my wrist," she said. "Shooting 88 is not what I think about."

yes Wie made 20 million dollars last year. think about that. :pucking:

she may be a fraud and a failure, but if the goal of a career is to make a good living, her wacky career path suceeded fantastically. she is a complete zero as a golfer, but is rich famous and set for life.

p.s.- people who make $20 mill a year dont need 5k from playboy. dont hold your breath waiting for those pics.

I dont even think she is attractive

Unfortunately she is on the downside of her career. But she can now retire comfortably

Endorsements for athletes that aren't top of their game should not exist. She was young, kind of attractive, had some game and she earned more (I assume) than any other female golfer and probably most male golfers?

There are so many hotter chicks on the LPGA tour in the 18-22 year old range who can actually play golf and deserve the endorsement money. I don't blame her for taking the money, but I do blame her for being a little b!tch and quitting today.

That's a crazy rule. One disaster round & see ya for a year.

No wonder she bailed.

Is she the latest burnt out prodigy in women's sports. :nopityA:
