Barry Enright 12-4 1.50 era All American.

UCLA last trip to Blair Field ended in a 14-1 loss to the Dirtbags. UCLA piching is weak, defense stinks also. Pepperdine was preseason top 10 team. Wrong team favored here

Junior Barry Enright, who is tied for fourth in the nation in wins and eighth in ERA, was named a third team All-American by Collegiate Baseball, the publication announced on Wednesday. He was one of 10 pitchers named to the third team.
Enright is currently 12-4 on the season with a 1.73 ERA while making 17 starts. His wins total and ERA lead the West Coast Conference (WCC) and his 12 victories tie for ninth on Pepperdine's single-season wins list.
The Waves' junior right hander is the first Pepperdine pitcher to be selected All-American since Steve Kleen received first team honors in 2005 by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) after posting a 4-3 record, 1.75 ERA and 17 saves as the team's closer.
The last Pepperdine starters named All-American were Dan Haren and Noah Lowry in 2001.
Enright enters regional play this weekend ranked second on Pepperdine's all-time career wins list and tied for fourth in WCC annals with a 35-7 record. He also ranks second in games started (55) and fourth in innings pitched (346.2).
In addition to being selected All-American, Enright was a unanimous All-WCC selection and is a semi-finalist for the Roger Clemens Award, Dick Howser Trophy and USA Baseball Golden Spikes Award. Pepperdine opens play against UCLA in the Long Beach Regional on Friday at Blair Field beginning at 3 p.m.

Friday's Starting Pitcher

On being used in so many situations

Well the truth is, I just love to pitch, basically...I've been used in every situation over the last three years and I just go out there and compete as well as I can...I just try to give my team a good pitching performance and try and keep them in the game.
On Blair Field Being a Pitcher's Park
It's an awesome park and great atmosphere...I got to pitch here my freshman year in a regional and I always said joking around that this is a Big League mound...It's a fun place to be, great atmosphere four our team, great fans and it's going to be a fun time for us and so we're just hoping to come out with the same intensity and match anyone else and play to the best of our ability. Do you approach the regional any different that a regular-season game? Well, you like to say you take every game the same and no game is bigger than any other but we've talked about we've been here and, for us, this is our third year...We have that itch and feeling that we have been runner-up and these are big games.
