OVER 3,000,000 lost

I believe there is over 3 million dollars that are lost at the track, not from the regular wagering, but from people who

1. Wagered and didnt know a horse got scratched just before the race and only looked at the winning horses.
2. Wagered on a horse and forget what they wagered on
3. Bet on some many races and throw away winning tickets, but looked at the results for the wrong track

Actually that number is about 7,000,000.00 in CALIFORNIA ALONE.

Thought I read that somewhere in the CHRB's annual report last year.

Here is the number, on page 64. Its 6.9 million. No wonder they dont want stoopers pickin up old tickets off the floor! :WTF:
