It must suck to be a great pitcher in the prime of his career on a Shitty team

The difference between HOF and glory or nothing but some $$, and way less $$ for the matter!

1. Oswalt

Clearly the obvious no 1 here.

2. Sheets

This is the first year his team is good

3. Kazmir

God only knows what was possible

4. Cabrera

See Bedard tie!

6. Harang

K' leader every year and no help

7. Capuano

Still a chance

8. Duke

May have already sold out unless I missed a big injury.

9. Millwood

I know but some great years with nothing but innings to show for it.

This is by no means complete or solid just some thoughts.

Honorable Mention

Schilling/ Vasquez

1 missed many wins staying in Philly

2 missed many wins staying in MTL

Great pitchers. lol 1 is great, a few have potential, a few are good 3rd starters, and a few suck.

Great is usually reserved for johan, clemens, pedro,rj.

Those guys got great winning with winners. Pedro lost many wins for 5 years in MTL.

Look up the first 5 years of Vasquez who pitched a shutout tonight.

That guy is a piece of garbage. All the talent with no brains how to handle the bigs. Another episode today. Glad he is not on my team.

Vasquez was awesome for a terrible team. To keep it together with no shot a winning a 6-5 game for 7 years was outstanding. Bad teams make pitchers worse is what I'm trying to say and vice versa.

Those numbers on Say Atlanta would be Maddux, Smoltz, Glavine.

Some were great too! HOF for real and better than any modern pitcher in my mind.
Lefty was the first pitcher I ever wagered on, Game 1 on the NL championship.
Laid 65-50, ka-ching !

Loved Lefty.

The whole time he could have back to back to back Cy Youngs too. What a shame!
Yeah, but Carpenter's 2005 season was lights out.
21-5 ERA of 2.83 1.05 ratio.

does roy halladay earn a mention?
Sure, when he is healthy he is always a prime candidate.
Won it in 2003, 2004 made only 21 starts, 19 in 2005.
Finished third to Santana/Wang last year, if he makes 30 plus starts he'll always be in the top 5.
