I've done this with food before. I went back and said "I can't eat this. It's cold!". This was at Famous Dave's BBQ and it took forever to get our meal. I got the plate back after sending it back and the potatoes were cold.

I talked to the Manager after eating and he gave us 3 a free meal. When we returned a month later we were treated like royalty. The Manager made sure everything was done right.

Thanks, I'll call you Cheekim now as you're the second coming.

I didn't wake up and share the fact I had exploding diarrhea from my lasagna last night. Some things just arn't worth sharing.

BTW, the best public bathrooms are in libraries.

After a round of drinking at Nice Guy Eddies across the street on Houston Street.
Used to live on East 5th Street in the 90's 5 blocks from Katz.
I preferred 2nd Ave deli myself, but they are closed.
Katz makes a very nice sandwich. Kosher dogs to die for as well.

Always stop at the one in Simi Valley when working in the area. It's probably the only good thing about Simi Valley besides some of the big-titted whores walking around.

I didn't know they had one in Simi Valley. I don't get up there very much.

I used to live in Alhambra and went to the one at Garfield and Valley Blvd. I guess that's the original that was opened in 1951.

I did a little research. Here are their locations:

"The Hat now boasts nine locations – Alhambra, Brea, Glendora, Lake Forest, Monterey Park, Pasadena, Simi Valley, Temple City and Upland – and all sport the signature neon “The Hat” sign and a retro-looking exterior. Except for the Alhambra store, all locations feature indoor seating and an outdoor patio, with six locations including convenient drive-thru windows."

In LA, it's hard to beat Art's Deli on Ventura Blvd. Art's could make it in NY.

Had to go to The Hat yesterday after reading this so I went to the one in Brea. Damn that's a good sandwich. I may go back there today too.

I miss the Pastrami and corned beef sandwiches served at the little deli next to the horse book in the old Horsehoe in Vegas. Great pastrami that the cooks sliced to order right in front of you for your particular sandwich that most of the regular players got comped along with a Dr. Brown's root beer.

Although I have been there only a couple of times Carnegi's Deli in NYC (as mentioned) has great pastrami sandwiches.

How about Jerry's Deli in variuos LA locations.

As far as the Carnegie goes, didn't they come to Vegas at one of the Casinos? They also have another NY deli there as well as Canter's from LA coming in if not there already.

I'll have to try Jerry's. I used to work right next to Chompie's Deli in Tempe when I lived there. We would go down for bagels every morning after we got in to work.

I used to go to Kaplan's on Harbor in Costa Mesa just off the 405. I hear they closed down in 2005 due to high rent. The building has been empty since then.

Anyone know of any other good delis in the LA area?
