Almost got his head taken off with that gutless retaliation from Procter.

I'd wouldn't dig into too deep tomorrow vs. The Big Mouth Neo-Con if I was a Yankee ...

Procter deserves an ass beating from his own team ... throwing at a players head B9 in a rout ... wtf?

Too bad it wasn't intentional or it would have made a good story line.

Proctor already got in trouble for head hunting early in the year by even Torre. No way he was going to do it again in a rout.

Making too much out of it because it's Yankees/Boston obviously.

If you hadn't noticed Youkalis with that gay little man stance he leans into the plate a bit. Proctor was just keeping him honest. Probably sick of seeing that faggy little bouncing he does up there too.

This wasn't Clemens/Piazza terrority, but looked very intentional to me, the ump and the YES announcers ..

Keeping him honest? Just like Phelps, ARod an Cano were getting kept honest prior to that, after Lowell was unintentionally hit.

BOSTON — Children's Hospital patient Michael Fiacco, 11, from Hampton, hung out with some of his favorite athletes including Celtics star Glen "Big Baby" Davis, Boston Red Sox Ace Josh Beckett and Red Sox first baseman Kevin Youkilis, at the Champions for Children's annual dinner and auction to benefit the hospital.
The 2009 event raised an estimated $2.5 million for Children's Hospital Boston's patient care, cutting-edge research and community health programs. Since the event's inception in 1997, Champions for Children's has raised nearly $20 million.
Children's Hospital Boston, one of the world's leading providers of pediatric research and care, presented Beckett with the 2009 "Champion Award" at the hospital's Champions for Children's event at the Seaport World Trade Center.
Beckett received the award, which is given annually to a Boston athlete for his commitment to the community, for pitching in to raise funds for cancer research and his dedication to making a difference in the lives of the patients at Children's.
More than 1,000 people — including sports legends, players, professional team owners and Boston's business elite — were in attendance including Red Sox principal owner John Henry; Executive Vice President & General Manager Theo Epstein; alumni Joe Morgan and Luis Tiant; former Boston Celtics JoJo White and Dana Barros; New England Patriots Chairman and CEO Robert Kraft; President Jonathan Kraft; players Darius Butler, Matt Light and Tyrone McKenzie; former Boston Bruins Gord Kluzak and Tommy Songin; New England Revolution stars Taylor Twellman, Jeff Larentowicz and Chris Tierney; WEEI-AM's Glenn Ordway and many more.

Children's Hospital Boston, an internationally renowned center for medical research and treatment, is one of the only pediatric hospitals nationwide that focuses on pairing world-class research with clinical resources to develop novel therapies to treat and cure children. Many of the hospital's scientific advancements have far-reaching implications for treating adults, too — they target diseases including prostate and breast cancer, macular degeneration, and Alzheimer's.

Hampton resident Michael Fiacco, 11, got to meet some of his sports heroes at a recent Children's Hospital Boston fund-raiser. Michael, who is a patient of the hospital, is shown here with Celtics star Glen “Big Baby” Davis, Red Sox pitcher Josh Beckett and Sox first baseman Kevin Youkilis.

5-22-2011:

Youkilis’ hitting streak reached nine games with a single to left in the fourth. He’s now hitting .424 with three home runs and 11 RBI during the streak. Youkilis ultimately reached base four times Saturday night, as he also walked and got plunked by Zambrano. The hit by pitch was the 72nd of his career, moving him past Mo Vaughn and into first on the Red Sox’ all-time.

9 game hit streak to start the 2013 season;

Youkilis' hitting streak is the longest to start a season for a player in his Yankees debut since Joe Buzzas had hits in the first 10 games of 1945, according to information provided by the Yankees from the Elias Sports Bureau.
