Doesn't The Cavs -1.5 seem like a sucker bet?

I love the Cavs here but why only -1.5? After the Lebron performance everyone was talking about today, how can the Cavs only be -1.5? You would think any Joe Shmoe betting would say Cavs easy, game at home and Lebron. Will the Cavs be tried after yesterdays game? Anyone info would be great

I think i saw a stat that the pistons are something like 4-0 the last 4 game 6's on the road after losing game 5 at home.

Plenty of reasons why the Pistons have a bigshot to win...

1. Law of average says Pistons won't lose 4 in a row.

2. Pistons as solid on the road as any team ever basically.

3. It took a once in a decade performance from Lebron to barely win last game in Double O.T

4. Pistons have more experience

5. If Lebron doesn't have a very good-great game the Cavs chances diminished immensely. Pistons don't rely on one player as much.

Crowd should be huge, hopefully they show up like the Warrior fans did against Dallas, I'm on the Cavs.

I'd play it -1.5 if I were going to play it, it may increase, and 1 point wins are rare.

I mentioned this in the NBA forum. How can the Cavs open at "Pk" after the dramatic game 5 win when they were 3.5 point favorites in game 3 after they were swept the first 2 games? Seems like a trap if I have ever seen one.

Pinny had Pistons favored by 1 this morning. I took Cavs at pick em this morning because of course I can't wager at Pinny anymore.

They dont have Ben Wallace, they do have Webber. Webber is a loser. Pistons stand around on offense. R. Wallace stinks offensively late in game, Prince stinks offensively, and Prince seems to be go to guy. seems he shot about 5 airballs out of control.

Detroit will go as far as Billips/Hamilton take them.

Yes they were 3.5 pt favs in game 3 but they were 1 pt dogs in game 4, lines zig zag with wins and losses. Whats so surprising about a pk opening line? I don't think the books expected everyone to dismiss Detroit so easily but as you can see the line is now heading to 2 (and rightfully so).

Someone with 5000+ posts shouldn't be talking about a "trap".

The reason the cavs are only 1 1/2 is that Bron's support group sucks.

Yes, that is a good point. But did it take "a once in a decade performance" for the Cavs to win their last 2 home games?

My 2 cents to this topic, i think outside of the box, but heres what i think and I've seen it happen very regularly... CLEVELAND WILL WIN --- Your now asking, why do I think the Cav's will win, because if you have any experience with "local bookies" in most cases, the week ends on a Sunday to settle up and a new betting week begins on a Monday. My thinking is the "books" want to balance there books before Monday and not wait another week to get paid by the Detroit series losers. There will be no game 7. Its all about "DA MONEY" --- CLEVELAND WINS SATURDAY and I will buy a point making my bet Cleveland minus a 1/2.
