I have been saying all week the dogs are starting to bark and it shows in my record. My favorites have been dropping, just like my record, but my dogs have been barking. My dog record is now better than my favorite record.

Last night I went 3-2, picking up 2.56 units. I lost both favorites, but won all three dogs including the huge Washington play, so I have no complaints.

It is 3:00 in the morning again and here I am making my picks again. I am up coughing all night again tonight. Went back to the doctor and tried some different meds today, hopefully this time it works. I am sick of being sick. I work today and then I am off Sunday and Monday. I am just going to bet baseball all weekend and do nothing, doctors orders.

Boston -132 vs Yankees………..As much as I am trying to stick with dogs right now, I have to take the redsox again today after losing with them last night. I was on the sox knowing the yanks hit Wakefield pretty well and it cost me. Sox the better team who just lost last night. Today it is Schilling vs Mussina, a couple of old, but good pitchers. Yankees fans are probably all excited after one win last night, but it won’t last. Boston clearly the better team, they are at home and this line is only -132. I see a lot of value with this play. Not much to analyze in this one, it is pretty straight forward.

Atlanta +136 vs Cubs…………..Braves a dog again? Sure, give it to me. I will take it again. This one is simple as well. Braves just pounded the Cubs best pitcher yesterday, so this should seem easier. Not much to analyze here either. The braves are the braves and the cubs are the cubs. Sometimes it is that simple, or at least I like to think so.

St Louis +129 vs Houston…………Even though the cards are underachieving big time this year, they are not as bad as the Astros. How can you take this astro team as a favorite the way they are playing? I am not crazy about Kip Wells pitching for the cards today, but maybe this ice cold Houston offense is just what the doctor ordered for him. In addition to that, the cardinals bats are always dangerous, even in a down year like this for them. Cards worth a shot as a dog today.

Washington +160 vs San Diego……………Another gut feeling here. The nats are a streaky team this year. They either play really well for about a week or they really suck for a week. After last nights upset of Peavy, I think they start another little winning streak. No stats to back this one up, just a feeling. Many of my plays this year have been on gut feeling alone, and it has worked so far for me.

There you go, four picks. One fav and three dogs. I am glad the phillies are over my -150 limit today. I said yesterday I almost always take Cole Hamels, so this forces me to not play it. I have a feeling he gets lit up today, but I don’t want to play it.

A couple of more teams I like today, but are not touching just because my favorite picks have been losing are Cleveland -145 vs Detroit, and Seattle -141 vs Texas. Keep in mind these are not plays for me. I am just curious what happens with them Saturday.

Back on Sunday morning. Good Luck Everybody!!
