You say you don’t know who Justin Germano is? If you did, your wallet would be a lot thicker with greenbacks. Germano has come out of nowhere to take the major leagues by storm. Germano is 3-0 with a 1.08 ERA and a 0.76 WHIP in four starts for the Padres. Germano has gone 2-0 in his only two home starts this year at pitcher friendly Petco Park, posting a 1.38 ERA and a 0.62 WHIP. Washington is 3-8 against NL West opponents this season and is 1-8 vs San Diego in their last nine meetings at RFK. The Nats stunned the Padres in extra innings last night. But that was a fluke. You can look for Germano and the Friars to right the ship tonight against the pesky Nats.
