Nah, It isn't going to be that bad. But, I feel refreshed, revived like I've been washed in the river by CCR, all that shit. A coupla things on my mind I'd like to maybe get some response on (no doubt, I'll get some response)

Lou Piniella, Cub Manager - is it time for Sweet Lou to start sacking groceries?

Barry Bonds = He knows what he's doing, doesn't he? He fucking knows he bent the rules, but he is smart enough to know that time will let him get away with it.

Texas Rangers = Dude, they are just a massive sack of shit. Paper or Plastic, says Lou?

Astros give their pitchers NO run support = I could throw 180 mph fastballs all night and still lose 1-0.

NY Yankees do NOT have the pitching it takes to win. Sorry. Mussina? I'm tired of your ass.

Jake Peavy needs to be on another team. One with hitters on it.

So does Roy Oswalt.

Texas Rangers have the wrong manager. He is a bad fit. Fire his ass. Then, fire everyone else. Then, find AND hire ANYONE, FUCKING ANYONE, who can find some pitching. This 'pitching' aspect has eluded the TEXAS Rangers since their inception. NEED PITCHING and JIM KERN isn't gonna be enough, you assholes. Neither is Nolan Ryan.

Kirby Puckett was a bad-ass. Case closed.

Phil Garner is a shitty coach, or he isn't getting the job done. I just recoil when I see his ass, I don't trust his baseball instincts.

Lots of players are 'doggin' it'. They really are. NO hustle by most of the elite guys. some of the middle-of-the-road guys, they are the real stars.

Umpires (some of them) are squeezing the shit outta the strike zone. Seems like National League is major culprit.

Bullpens are BULLSHIT. MOST are what - mediocre- at best? WHo is the best closer in baseball ? Can't think of one? Ah, see? Trevor Hoffman? Sad. And supposedly, the pitchers are the ones on the juice now, too, as well. So much for that shit = hasn't been a closer since Goose Gossage.

One more thing, most of you will agree with me on too = who the FUCK are these coaches making these pitching decisions late in the game >????

Shit, they leave Joe Snothead in the game, long enough to give up three runs (and the lead) THEN they decide to take him out. Also, you got a STUD pitching his ASS OFF, then a left-handed hitter comes up in the seventh inning, he is nearing his (OMG) pitch count, and instead of letting him close out the inning by blasting this guy away, they bring in Billy Joe Shardin, because he jacks-off left handed, to go lefty vs. lefty. Yeah, that's a plan! NO matter his ERA is 14.22 to infinity and is 0-15 the last 15 times he suited up and can eat more seeds than anyone on the team (and, he has the best jokes, yukkity fuck!).

WE, the betting men, get the ROD, because you know this ass-weed is gonna groove one down the middle once he gets three balls on this guys ass. Or he walks him, THEN grooves one right down the heart and MIGHTY JOE YOUNG sends it to New Jersey via same day express and now, our team is down by two in the bottom of the eighth inning. NO chance to recover. But, the manager made "A" move, you know text-book and all that shit.

That is why I started betting the F5 innings on the stud pitchers, maybe take some of these asshole managers OUT of the equation. MY GOD. I know you have to wonder to yourself "What the FUCK is this guy doing?" PUt in a guy who can't find his ass with both hands!" GIVE UP the lead, then take him out.

That is my throwing-shit at the wall point of a game. TAKE OUT the coaches and let the fans decide who does what. Just like in GLADIATOR. I watched that = fucking Maximus decided what the fuck was gonna happen.

We need more guys like Maximus (Gladiator).

OK, I'm done. I had a great night, I'm going to drink another beer and hope some of you respond to this horseshit of mine. BTW = I really believe all this stuff, I do. I don't think I'm alone, either. Best of LUCK to all you MF's.

You want my baseball thought (s) ?
Here goes.
The home run is cheap, wicked cheap.
I used to look up to guys who hit 35 homers a year. That was special.
Today, the homer means next to nothing in my eyes.
When guys like Figgins can go deep and to the opposite field yet, well that says it all.
Give me 440 foot fences again, give me the taller pitching mound again.
I hate 14 - 11 games that take 4 hrs and 13 mins. Screw that, I want a 3-1 game that takes 2 hrs and 21 minutes.
I want a closer that can go 2 or more innings.
I want a starter who makes 38 starts in a season and hurls 300 plus innings, and I don't want to hear about pitch counts eiter.
That's it for now.

Bill? You are a fucking genius. And right on the money.

It all boils down to my RANT = the game has changed and me (and obviously YOU) don't like the NEW changes. I used to look up to Tommy Helms, YaZ, guys who hit in the clutch, Harmon Killebrew, Bob Gibson, Sandy K, Roy C., those guys. They were my baseball hero's.

So, yeah, I agree with you = I think without getting into more shit, we both agree on one thing = the GAME has changed.

And, from what I can tell, WE (can I use WE?) don't like it as much.

Best to you, mi amigo,

Steve,

Can I add a little bit to your rant if you dont mind......

WTF......man on 2nd less than 2 outs righty on the mound lefty in the box, we walk the man to set up the dp, why? Are the percentages that infavor of the pitcher to induce the double play? I thought this was the Majors where Pitchers are just as good as the hitters? Do the fucking Managers realize what the do to the mindsets of these Pitchers when the say...."Hey put this guy on you cant get him out.....soo we will take our chances with the ground ball double play." WTF!!!! I am sick and tired of seeing Managers take the aggressiveness away from the pitcher in these situations. Its not like Ted Williams is in the box!!!

Steve, thank you for that, but I'm not really.
I like to think I am smart, and I am, but I am smart enough to know there are others smarter than I am.

I'm Joe average shithead, that has an opinion on most everything, I don't know if that is right or wrong, but I do know it keeps me out of therapy.

Best to you as well.

Sammy Sosa looks like a cancer patient and needs to retire. I haven't seen this guy for quite some time. Go ahead and laugh your asses off. It's okay. I don't follow baseball much. I follow my beloved shit head Mariners though. When they announced Sammy was coming to the plate I saw this skinny little piece of shit with a jersey draped over it. On the back, sure enough, it said Sosa and I said.....:WTF: NO JUICE I ASSUME!

I want ballplayers to pitch the first end of a doubleheader, play the outfield in the second game, then go to their job and earn a living. This game used to be about more than money, it was because they loved to play. You don't take steroids to get an advantage in the game, you play the game the way it was meant to be played and love the fact that people are willing to come out and watch you do it. You respect the game above all, and as soon as you turn away a fan or think you're more important than anybody else on your team or anybody else at all just because you play baseball, you can go fuck yourself my friend.

PERFECTLY stated, could not have said it more accurately.

They are taking away the pitcher's MOJO and he walks off the mound thinking:

1. I'm gonna get a no-decision
2. I'm gonna get a loss
3. I'm gonna get drunk.
4. I can't believe this prick took me out right now, when I'm in the HEAT of battle and I'm feeling dominant (FUCK, coach! I'm WINNING THE GAME for us!)

right ?

Well said, my friend. Perfect.

When I become President of the United States, here are my first actions.

1) Abolish the designated hitter. Sorry, my pitchers are going to have to hit for themselves.

2) No more of this umpire warning crap. If some guy hits a home run off of me and lollygags his ass around the bases, I have the right to plunk him his next time at bat whether my team has been warned about throwing at guys or not.

3) The "Hold" stat goes. Stupidest stat in baseball

4) The "Save" stat is modified. No longer will a save be awarded to a guy who comes into a 3-run game. In order to get a save, you either need to come into a 1-run game in the 9th, a 2-run game in the 8th, or a 3-run game in the 7th.

5) Teams are only allowed to carry 4 starting pitchers. Get rid of the pansy 5th starter. That ruined baseball, right there.

6) Minimum distance for a HR is now 375 ft. You're gonna earn your trip around the bases and require better defensive outfielders. The exception will be Fenway Park. Sorry, for as much as I hate the Sox, the Green Monster's gotta stay.

7) Every baseball fan will get 1 fully paid for trip to the ballpark of their choice in their lifetime. Everybody deserves to travel to Wrigley Field or Fenway Park or Yankee Stadium... or whatever their favorite ballpark is at least once.

8) If a relief pitcher comes into a game with men on base and concedes the runs, the pitcher who put the runners on base has the right to kick his reliever in the nuts. Oh, and we're going to create the only stat that matters for relievers... Inherited runners scored.

And most importantly...

9) If a game goes over the total but does not complete 8.5 innings, the wager will be graded!!! GOD, do I hate this. If I have over 9 and the score is 13-8 after 6 innings and it's called due to rain, I should be a winner.

Given your platform, SIGN ME UP to campaign for you for PREZ!

Damn, I agree with you 100%, maybe you could make me VP or, even better, Baseball Commissioner.

-----------------------------------

Baseball Commissioner should be "Maximus" (Gladiator).

Maximus, as commish, to Barry Bonds (who we will call Warrior Bonds, like in the movie):

Maximus: "Warrior, take off your helmet, put down your bat, and show me your face, then, hold out your arm. I will cut it, get some blood, and test it."

BB: "No, you cannot do that. I am Barry Bonds, HR hitter, the chaser of Ruth, Aaron and the rest, the baddest-ass hitter in baseball"

Maximus: "Yes, you are but, if I find out you drank Draconian sap from the illegal tree from the Aurelious region to 'boost' your warrior skills, you will have to fight me, and you do not want that." "Warrior Bonds, I am Gladiator - I answer only to baseball, and what is best for baseball. I AM baseball, past, present and future."

Maximus continues: "Your skills, tho impressive and mighty, are no match against me, as I represent baseball = all the people and fans and history and players of the past. If you have chosen to put yourself first, and this hurts baseball, I, Maximus, will hurt you." Got it? The ghosts of those of the past are with me, but I swing a bad-ass sword on my own."

Maximus: "If you refuse, your efforts and accomplishments will be revoked, not to mention 'cheapened', as I will take 'action' against you.

"Lastly, Warrior Bonds, do you stand before me, ready to do battle if necessary? To defend yourself, your actions, should I decide to battle you? I am Maximus, The Commissioner, The Ruler of what is BEST for baseball."

(Warrior Bonds turns his back, and starts to walk away)

Maximus: "Warrior Bonds - you have turned your back to me. Prepare to defend yourself."

-The End-

Point is this = make some decisions about what IS and ISN'T allowed and WHEN such decisions go into effect. AND, DO NOT single out BBonds =

In the Gladiator movie, Maximus says " We need to all stick together, that is our only chance to survive." Stay together. Jose? Rafael? Mark? Sammy? All you pitchers, too ?

What a state we are in. Either make the shit LEGAL or NOT.

BUT, when it comes to batting records, pitching records? Better review just WHEN the Draconian sap from the tree became availaable. I know for a FACT, those HGH/Steroids work like a champ. Just decide which way it's gonna be = because you see = what we have NOW, is not a good comparison = we are NOT comparing apples to apples.

Enhanced anything is different than the real, original.

Just look at tits nowadays. That's what I'm talking about.

GL to all today = gotta post on the tracker forum = check out my picks, I'm on a serious roll, a ROLL like Gene Krupa, baby.
