Has anybody looked at Airfare Prices lately?

I was looking for airfare prices to go to the Bash this year and wow was I stunned to see the prices for airfare.I know fuel prices are up but come on these fricking prices are a joke.What the prices are now I used to fly me and my dad to Vegas now its only for 1 person.Better hit a parlay soon to afford this trip.Gravy:think2:

I'd say they are all roughly 100 more across the board [than last year].

Journeyman,Im glad to hear that there is some news coming soon but I could have got airfare about $125 cheaper than it is now about a week and half ago.I will wait to see what the news is before jumping the gun.Gravy

undecided, but I just put my name in the thread.

I expected location to be confirmed weeks ago, so I waited on airfare, now if its up too high, I'll probably pass on it.

prices went down for flights from new york (jfk ) (thur night/ sun night)

$343.00 round trip non stop

clev was $415.00 round trip non stop

go figure ???
last I checked new york was further to vegas then clev

about a week ago it was $308 round trip on Continental and yes last time I checked New York is further deosnt make sense but what does anymore:ughhh:

air fare calculations have very LITTLE to do with distance........example

I can fly to the US (1120 miles) cheaper than to Guatemala (530 miles)

The department in charge of those calculations is called 'revenue management' and they factor every possible thing you can imagine........

use www.farecast.com and enter your airport of choice and make sure you click on 'nearby airports'

I booked my flight a few weeks ago via Airtran, $328 round trip from Rochester NY to LV. I thought that was a good price so I booked it early
