I do.

Most likely the DOJ said get out of Canada and we will relax the vice on your balls a bit.

Eventually, Neteller and the DOJ will come to an agreement where they will receive immunity and they will agree to stay out of the US.

The DOJ can't have them sign an agreement to stay out of Canada - it would never fly.

So once they resolve everything with the DOJ, will we see them in Canada again? I think we will. They left the accounts open for some reason...

I've gotta think Neteller is pretty much done as a company.....at least in North America. Cant see them recovering from all the bad press and all the customers they pissed off. Of course I could be wrong and we'll all be using them in 12 months, but I doubt it

Friend of a friend kind of rumour, so take this with a grain of salt:

Heard that a gaming attorney/lobbyist in Canada claims that the DOJ hasn't made any requests of the Canadian gov't or RCMP and that no companies here have been directly pressured to cease serving Americans.

The consensus among Canadian gaming industry folk (so far as I can determine anyway) is that we will remain neutral on the issue while the US goes apeshit and the UK/EU regulates. Both parties are key trading partners and it looks like our plan up here is to do nothing new or different in terms of new legislation or enforcement of existing laws.

We've always been pretty good fence sitters.

So to answer your question, I don't think Neteller's 'return' to Canada, specifically, will have anything to do with the DOJ one way or the other.

I think NT shut down Canada because they knew Americans would circumvent the laws by opening up Canadian bank accounts
