They are even losing to the bad teams at home now. They had a tough little road scedule stretch a few weeks ago, but now they are losing to the same bad teams they were dominating earlier in the season.

I think they lost some confidence along the way. Dont think they overachieved at the beginning of the year. They are just not playing to there ability now.

Too much much talent on this team to keep playing like this. But as of right now they are playing some very poor baseball.

Brewers are still the class of the Central. They don't need to worry at all. That staff is super solid.

I agree completly. They are still going to run away with that division. Im just wondering when they are going to get back on track.

Their staff is good and has the "potential" to dominate with Suppan, Sheets, and Capuano. The eye sore is Dave Bush. Yost has to hope for 3 complete games before Bush pitches so that they can throw everyone out there to try to put on a fire that Bush starts with is "88 up in the zone" fastballs and "sliders that are middle of the bat seaking rocket launchers". I don't think that Shouse has recorded an out with a runner in scoring position yet this year.

The good think is that the central is SSSSOOOOOOO bad that a .500 record might win the division by 5 games.

Before the game vs the Cubs tonight...

It was 3-3 between the Cubs and Brewers this season...

Losing to the same bad team they were "dominating" earlier this season?:think2: Huh? What?

And oh yeah...Soriano stinks...allowing him to jack a three-run homer is simply pathetic...:missingte

The nerve of the Brewers to get beat by these horseshit players...

Dave Bush has just had a ton of bad luck. His core numbers say he turns it around BIGTIME. Nobody has has as bad of luck as Bush has had.

7.0 K/9, 1.6 BB/9, 1.21 HR/9, 46% Ground Balls. He has excellent numbers so far and has pitched better than Sheets, Suppan, Capuano, AND Vargas. This is an extreme case of bad luck with respect to batted balls in play falling for hits.

What I was talking about is sub .500 teams at home, and they did dominate them.

Soriano is one player. The Cubs still stink.

I would agree with you if he didn't throw the damn thing down the cob all the time. 79 hits in 68.2 innings and 9 home runs allowed. He needs to turn it around fast as I don't know if we have someone in the minors who can fill in this hole in the rotation.

Even if Yost doesn't like him, he needs to realise that he is better than any 7th inning guy the Brewers have, and he is excellent for a 5th starter. The Brewers really need to trade for Otsuka of the Rangers. He is very very good, plays in a homer park (so he won't be spooked coming to Miller Park), and the two clubs have a history of Trading. Their GM is the same guy that built the Marlin Championships, so I have faith he will trust in Bush.

Edit: His line drive % isn't obscenely high (20.4%). It's in the upper third, but it isn't insane. This suggests he isn't getting drilled. Maybe Estrada needs to call a better game. History is filled with cases of guys like Bush who's core #'s stay the same all year and then their era/wins catch up and Baseball Tonight starts trumpeting how their years got turned around when in actuality they are just allowing less infield hits.

Brewers are getting the Cubs at a bad time...guess some of these guys really don't like Piniella very much...lol...

Soriano is heating up... 5 for 5 tonight... he must be happy that his pal is back with the club.

I totally agree that Miller calls a better game than Estrada. I think that the Brewers were 12-1 when Miller starts at one point this season. That might be the reason that Sheets is so good since his personal catcher is Miller.

Ok I just saw the pitch the Soriano hit out tonight. I have no idea how in the world his was able to pull a pitch that was on the outside part of the plate and shin high. WOW!!!!

Is he AA or AAA now? How is that Pederson doing....the number 1 pick a few years back.

AAA and killing it.

Last year he led all of the minors in strikeouts with 188.

So far this year he's leading the minors in strikeouts again and has unreal stats:

8-1 with a 2.14 ERA, 0.55 WHIP, and 95 Ks in 67.1 IP.

The only problem is he just turned 21 - don't wanna overwork him a la Kerry Wood.

I just looked up the numbers. Maybe a call up later in the year to give him a taste. I see that Mark Rogers (2004 #1 pick) has a problem with walks and his ERA is north of 5. Yet he has 96Ks in 70+ innings.

We really only need 1 of these young guys to come up and fill in that 5 stop as Bush isn't the future.
