I just got a pretty good local, only downer is 20c lines for baseball. But he gets his lines off of jimfeist.com (lines coming from justbet.com). Hes reliable and know many other people who books through him. But anyway, I want to force myself to money mgnt with a local, something I could not seem to do betting online. Well since being with him(only the past week) I have made 14 straight bets and I am up $493 betting to win 100 and 200, But mostly 100 (1 unit).

My question is...coming from justbet.com's lines..

I imagine they are slower than other sharper books, could I get a better line.

Just wondering if there are any advantages on my part?

Thanks in advance

If you could not learn money management at a post up book online. I would suggest cuting the credit guy of right now, or you are going to be in a the poor house very soon.

That would be like saying im an alcoholic, I could not handle my drinking problem living in a church. So I moved to the bar instead. I think I can handle my drinking problem better at the bar.

Makes absolutly no sense what you just said.

Well, I have been doing good doing it this way. My money mgnt online wasn't bad I wouldn't say, but once I got up a lot online, I would increase my wager size significantly..and I'm not going to do that now, or at least try not to.

Just tell him you want a $200 limit per game and a $1,000 cut off per week. This way, the most you could lose is a grand, but there's no limit on how much you could win.

Does he take lines once and hold them, or do they move ?

It sounds like no deal to me. You can probably beat the line at Matchbook.

Good idea, Actually I'm on something like that now, but not really...

Anything under $200 either way we rollover to the next week.(I could have picked any limit for this number)

But good idea, thanks

Yea, I'm sure I could beat them at MB. He takes the lines as they move.

The only advantage you have, is you now have accountability for your bets because you have to physically hand the dude stacks of green every week if you lose.

Online it's easier to drop a few hundo on random games because after you deposit it's just numbers on a screen.

to solve your money managment problem:

make an extra key to your house and give it to the guy. that way if you fail to settle with him he doesn't have to break down your door to beat your ass while you're sleeping... that should save you $200 on a new door.

I told my local it's either a 10 cent line or no action from me until September...guess which one he chose.
