Did not see this coming. The best pitching performace out of the 5 spot all season. Hell this is the best performace for a Braves pitcher period all season.

We need this win bad!

Come on boys.

Knew the Fish would fall apart as soon as Mitre left the game. Marlins bullpen is terrible, especially Pinto.

That could be demoralizing for the Marlins second half of the double dip...

Nope, dont think it will matter at all. What will matter is the fact that they have a pig throwing for them in the night cap. That is what will hurt them.

Does anyone know why the Marlins took Mitre out of the game? Is he on a pitch count? SB, you had mentioned in the in-game thread something about him still being in the game, so I am guessing you might know why he was removed. Thanks.

The Marlins have 1 hit. The Braves have 7. Justice.

Mitre pitched a better game than Carlyle. He gave up an equal number of baserunners, but zero runs. I know some people don't like it, but runs are more important than hits in a baseball game.

Im calling this win the biggest win of the season. That was huge.

I had this down as an auto loss.

I think he had only thrown 58 pitches. Not sure if he was on a pitch count or not. All the announcers said was that the Marlins were being cautious with him.

Oink. Hopefully we'll get some fried bacon tonight via Braves bats.
