Damn dude, I am getting old.

First it was back in February when a radio station mentioned it would have been Kurt Cobain's 40th birthday. Then it was during spring training when I realized Griffey was entering his 19th season. Then watching American Idol I realized Jordin Sparks was born the year I was a HS senior. Then yesterday I read an article about Bo Jackson that mentioned we are coming up on the 20th anniversary of his first MLB game and now this.

HS for me was 88-92, some great music then, G N R Metallica, Nirvana, U2, Pearl Jam, on and on and on...

i think 1991-1995 or so roughly that period was the best of the last 25+ years...

Hell August and september 1991 saw the release of AMAZING music!

OwwwwwAwwwww...Does that make you a better man because you do not go to youtube..Reading you on EOG and here..I sometimes wonder what sort of character you are in true life..Perhaps a really great guy who is sometimes misunderstood?

If you never go to you tube you are cheating yourself PO...But I know you don`t know how to cheat..do you?

Before the Derby races I went on there and watched all the great triple crown races of the 70-80~s good shit..Not to mention typing in any song you ever liked and 75% of the time finding it on video..And TONS of other entertainment!

I saw GNR in high school, I think my Jr year (88), may have been end of soph year (also 88). It was before Welcome to the Jungle came out and there were literally like 200 people there. I had never heard of them. My buddy and I went to see the opening band and stayed for them. We thought they were HORRIBLE, just complete garbage. About a month later I am watching MTV and Welcome to the Jungle comes on, about 3 days later they are the biggest thing going and we couldn't believe it. Still thought they were garbage but thought it was kind of cool we saw them before they blew up. Obviously, in retrospect we were miles off base.

best part, during the opening band this dude was sitting behind us pounding a bottle of jack, just getting completely shit faced. We were only 15 or 16 and kept turning around in amazement. Finally he offers us some when we turn around again and we end up getting drunk (probably on like 2 shots). 20 minutes later the dude is on stage playing guitar. It was Slash.

88-92 was some of the best years for me music-wise. I loved those hair band groups.

a definite break in Music around 93, the top songs are real shit, the modern and mainstream rock charts were fabulous...at least in my opinion.

Lets see

Metallica and green day or Mariah Carey?

I am already making CD's will all of these songs. It took a while to download 424 songs but it will be worth it when I have to drive to Detroit later next month. Dont EVEN ASK why I am driving!!!

I have never really used youtube before today. I wanted to save the files to a library, but it said that I had to have an account. Do they send very much spam?? I assume that the account is free??

i think i liked about 90 percent of them
i couldn't help but laugh outloud at the New Kids on the block and Milli Vanilli being at #1 on the charts.

And the charts frmo 92 and 93 were in no way shape or form indicative of what was going on in music at that time, that was Nirvana, STP, G N R, Metallica, ETC at their peaks.
