I am a little surprised at the number of people that do not like Madden. He does say some stupid things though and even though very qualified is off base sometimes. Of course one of the biggest blunders he made was in the Super Bowl Pats/Rams when the Pats got the ball back and it was tied with under two minutes to go. He said the pats should run it and go for overtime. The funny thing is afterwoods he stuck with that comment. It is about as stupid a comment as you can find. I mean you throw a few short passes (the defense is playing a long field) and try to get in position to make 1 or 2 more passes to get into FG range. I remember him saying that during the game and I am like WHY NOT TRY. You do not have to throw bombs but be smart. That is exactly what the Pats did. Nothing short of dumb!
OVerall I like madden but nothing great. He irritates me with his crazy comments and strategy sometimes.
