Interleague baseball is so unfair to teams like the BRAVES

I think interleague has to go unless your division gets to play the same teams.

The BRAVES so-called natural rivalry is the BOSTON RED SOX. We have to play the RED SOX 6 times a year.

Flordia's natural rivalry is Tampa. Do you see the problem here people? This is hardly fair at all.

The Braves have to play CLEVELAND, BOSTON, TWINS and DETROIT in interleage while the rest of the division is playing a bunch of BULLSHIT teams.

Time to get rid of this tragic mess.

I'm not that worried about it. It's not like it's a 16 game schedule. Besides, I'd rather go watch the Braves play the Red Sox than the Devi Rays, and we were talking earlier how the Braves play better against good teams than they do OK teams.

Uh, the division your division plays changes every year, if I'm not mistaken.

Sucks for you this year, though. Cry about it some more.

Its the luck of the draw, next year the Red Sox could be the worse team in baseball (probably won't happen) and would you still complain? Next year maybe they'll have easier interleague games. Its like in the NFL just because you get an easier shed to start the season doesn't mean it will be easy, things change every year, look at the Titans or Saints.

WrongO.

We play the REDSOX every damm year since this shit was invented, and we will countinue to play the SOX every damm year because they are our natural rival. The MARLINS natural rival is TAMPA which means they play TAMPA every damm year.

OK, in the next 20 years how many times do you think the RED Sox is goint to be better than TAMPA?

Id say a min of 15 out of 20.

Pitting rivals from the AL/NL is one of the novelties and great things about Interleague play. I can see the Nationals vs. Orioles, Cubs/Sox, Yanks/Mets, Astros/Rangers, the list goes on. Seriously, it is one of the ways the MLB tried to bring fans back to baseball, and I am a huge fan of it.

I'm a fan of it too even though I gotta watch the Angels always beat up on the Dodgers..

Most years the Tigers would've been a welcom opponent, the last couple, not so. It's the luck of the draw, though I WOULD suggest they stop having some interleague games in September. The fans like it, so it's useless to whine. Besides, it's not like the Braves ever do anything in the playoffs anyway (their one Series win was in a strike shortened season)...:missingte :nopityA: :puppy:

Chop is right, it's unfair.

I have always found the interleague month the hardest to cap, so i have never been a fan.

I meant aside from MLB's pre-selected rivals. All other interleague games are against a certain division, which alternate each year. Yeah.

Maybe the Braves should try actually beating the Marlins consistently instead of being their bitches when they play each other.

It's ok if the Mets play the Yankees 6 times though?

Hardly a tragic mess.

Chop has a point. There should not be a rivalry provision. Rotate them evenly and fairly or do not include the interleague games in the playoff race.

This was a hot topic about 2 weeks ago. But yeah, I agree it is set up somewhat unfair.

And I disagree with others, I am not a very big fan of interleague play.

Um, when these natural rivalries began, didn't Detroit and the Indians absolutely suck?

Where was chop to complain then?

The rivalries are the REASON why they are doing interleague play.
Nobody cares otherwise, people want to see a Subway series. Locally for me, I want to see the Nats play the Orioles. People don't give a shit if the Tigers play the Marlins or whatever, it's all about the rivalries.
