Chicago –1.03 over ATLANTA

This one is rather simple because the Braves are going bad and the Cubbies are gaining a little steam. In addition, Chicago has the much better pitcher going here in Rich Hill. Hill has tremendous numbers to go along with his tremendous stuff. He’s allowed just 50 hits in 71 frames covering 10 starts. He’s averaging 7.1 innings per start and the opposition has hit a paltry .197 off him. Hill is also a lefty and the Braves are two games under .500 against lefties this season. The Cubs have now won three of four since Lou Pinella’s meltdown and they’ve scored 28 runs over that stretch and at least five runs in every game. A similar output today is likely and it very likely gets us the win. Meanwhile, the Braves have lost four of five and have scored just 13 times over that stretch. Chuck James is very hittable indeed and although his numbers are pretty decent James is playing with fire far too often, as he escapes way too many jams. The league is hitting .281 off James and at home the opposition has hit .301 off him. The Cubs are a tiny favorite here but they have a big advantage both on the hill and at the plate and that definitely works for us. Play: Chicago –1.03 (Risking 2.06 units to win 2). <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

CLEVELAND team total over 5½ -1.02( 12:05 PM)

Odalis Perez has an ERA that’s higher then the 5½ runs that’s being offered here and thus, we’re all over this one. In fact, his ERA is 5.74 and he’s allowed an eye-opening 80 hits in 64 innings. It’s also worth noting that Perez does not strike out many so situations like man on third with less then two outs should easily produce a run. The league is hitting .307 off Perez and his ERA over his last three starts is 7.02. These Indians obviously need no introduction as far as their offense is concerned. They can bash with the best of them and they can bash hard. They’ll also very likely see the Royals putrid bullpen for the last four or so innings and one has to figure the Tribe will get two or three off them too. This one could go over early, very early, Play: Cleveland TT over 5½ -1.02 (Risking 2.04 units to win 2).

Honestly Rinaldo I look at every game closely, as I'm sure so does everyone else and if I don't post a play on it that means I really don't have much of an opinion on it.

Good luck which ever way you lean and thanks for the kind words.
