ESPN Sunday night baseball. More people watched Sunday's game than any other Sunday night bases since ESPN started it in 1990. This does not surprise me. What does surprise me is comments here about watching them too much or games suck or the general hatred that goes on. You even have some smart posters whose comments are wrong, and off base. I do not like some teams at all and have my favorites and passion too....but still would not be idiotic enough to not want to watch these too teams LOADED with mega stars and talent easily the best rivalry in sports (and it is not even close). Not surprising at all. Just like yesterdays fan base is so pro Red Sox in oakland as always. I wonder why there is such "dumbness" on this board about the Sox/yankees? Bring it on though because the joke is on the fools (like i said some smart posters too) who continue to prove their idiocy! HA!

thats's the key it's a record a baseball game, and I assume we would all not be surprised at all at this. A Falcon-Panther game would get more viewers though. (when ESPN had Sunday night foots).

Surprised in 17 years there has not been a baseball game that people had to watch, like a RIPKEN record breaker (not on a Sunday night) or some other big hyped game. I think Sunday night bases shuts it down a bit come football season though. BUT ESPN GOT THE NY market and that helps even this year. Does better than a NYY-NYM game because more outside of NY watch.

One has to admit ESPN/baseball tonight/ gammons shoves the RED SOX up our asses yearly.

Also this was against the next to series finale of the Sopranos which may matter a little. Overall, Not surprised and I think the game being a good one and so close helps.
