I like it. The rockies would truly earn the division if they won with that schedule.

The schedule isn't that bad. All 4 of the contenders in the NL West have to play one and other repeatedly so their schedule isn't really that different than the other squads. They also get a nice seven day homestand with Was and Pitt where they could really surge forward.

I suppose...I haven't looked at the rest of the NL West contenders' schedules. I figured the in-divison schedule would be the same, but their out-of-division schedule, I would guess at first glance, is harder than most. ATL, MIL, CHC, PHI, FLA ... the Pirates and Nationals are the only two "easy" teams they play the rest of the way (save for the Giants).

I would imagine--could be wrong--that the other NL West contenders will be playing easier out-of-division teams.

Outside of the AL East (which could get interesting in a months time from now) you are right.

HE HAS NOT GIVEN UP MORE THAN 4 EARNED RUNS IN ANY GAME THIS SEASON? That is $$.

Ol' Milton has been red hot of late. Of course when he faces the Dodgers he will probably hit .600 with 3 homers and 10 rbis. Dodgers picking up Estaban Loaiza was a decent move. Certainly an improvement over Tomko and Lurch.

Greg Maddux has found the fountain of youth, watch out for him...he's razor sharp again.

SD bats are finally coming alive. If they can keep it up in Sept. they will win the division
