Ive noticed for some reason when I make my write-ups I generally study the games longer and have a little more success, so Ive got 4 games that Ive fallen on for today.

1. Oakland -122

Give Barry Zito credit for being on a roll of late and he will be looking for some revenge against his old squad, but the one attempt he has this year vs Oak he struggled mightily pitching only 4 innings and allowing 7 ER while walking 7 perhaps being more concerned knowing what those bats can do. Meanwhile Oakland sends out their ACE in Haren, who is 3-1 vs SF lifetime and has never had a poor start, going 7 innings this year and only surrendering 2 ER on 3 hits. It seems like usual that the AL is a step ahead of the NL and the A's already beat Linceum last night, Zito today. Oak is 4-1 SU over their last 5 vs SF and they are on a roll right now after knocking boston down 3 out of 4.

2. METS/TIGERS OVER 8.5 -120

Both Oliver Perez and Jeremy Bonderman have been solid this year, making this look like a risky play especially since both teams bats sucked last night, and the mets come into this game in a slump in scoring, but the Tigers have been nuts of late absolultly dismantling the Rangers, Ill allow last night as their mulligan. Bonderman has pitched well, but he should not be 5-0, were it not for the runs he gets from his offense on his starts, its crazy, Over his last three starts he has gotten 9, 14, and 12 runs of support respectively. Only Bonderman has faced the opposition, in one start he went 5 innings allowing 4 ER, if that can hold I expect the Tigers to score enough to cover the difference even with a hot Perez, as Detroit rocks lefties with an 11-5 record.

3. Atlanta -153

Had to take a second and third look at this game as Atlanta has been sliding a little as has Hudson, but the numbers do not lie, Hudson shows three starts vs the cubs winning two and a ND on the third, while Marquis shows three starts with two losses and a ND, Hudson has thrown 21 innings and given up 7 ER, while Marquis has sucked throwing 5 innings in each allowing a total of 24 ER, and 12 ER in his last start. Atlanta got embarressed last night by Soriano and company, so dont expect a letdown tonight by los bravos who will salavate seeing their old buddy Marquis.

4. Baltimore -150

Rodrigo Lopez may be 2-0 with a sub 3 ERA, Im still not a believer and he comes back to baltimore where he will likely be booed as he meets the O's who are 7-3 at home over their last 10. Guthrie on the other side has been a rock at 2-1 with a 1.6 ERA, and it could be better if the pen could hold when he pitches. He absolutly shutdown the angels in his last start and Ray gave the game away, O's come back home and he gets a crack at a average at best lineup, Ill go with the Os. Baltimore is 18-6 as a favorite and 4-1 over their last 5 vs colorodo.
