Has anyone ever tried to follow the team experts in the Wagerline contests? It seems, in theory, that it would work. Does anyone else think it could work? If so, I am sure I could post the plays daily.

The "team experts" and "top 10%" plays with a consensus of 70% or higher did really well in the first half of May, winning about 45 and 20 units in the first 12 days, iirc. However, since I started tracking them at May 16th "experts" are about -10 and "top 10%" about -5 units, so definitely not worth following.

Btw if you take a closer look at the "team experts" you'll notice that many of them are huge losers overall, of the kind that makes 25 picks each day, so for many it's probably pure chance that did well with a certain team so far.

I've tried that before thet are only 58% in a long run

With favs or dogs? I see many of their lines are way off too. Getting -120 when the line is -140 and +140 when it's +120 across the board is hogwash.

Why not just pick a couple of good cappers on here and follow? I follow smartz, bigcat, ray luca and tomorrow's newspaper.

I'm not saying i've won every week, but i'm way up for the season.

Believe it or not, they aren't on the opposite sides of the same game too much, so it's worked out well.

I have tracked it and punted it. You will be better off doing your own handicap. They will take you to the dry cleaners!! I have been in the dryer I know. I have tracked also the so called Leaders and All Stars. That too will kill you quick smart.

Could not agree more. They make so many plays they are bound to be "experts" on a couple of teams. They may eactually know something about one team but more than not I beleive it is pure luck when picking one teams games. Would not get caught up in this angle while trying to find winners.

you had to be careful of their streak loss and they can get cold as ice. You might want to check the pending picks of "survivor leaders" I think it might be more accurate. I never try that yet

58% is extremly good after at least 150 plays, as you said in the long run,
and with decent lines over -140.

Take a look also at bigbookie and PacMan. Good record with lots of dogs.

I didn't mean any offense to any other good cappers here and there are plenty. I just have to limit myself to a few. Too many and you end up playing every game and having opposing sides.

Smartz, Luca and big cat usually post very early, which is good. I'll have to see how things go with TN for the rest of the season as he tends to post at the very last minute and add plays.

Obviously, the easiest thing would be to cap my own games, but I just don't have the time to devote any longer to be as good as those guys.

I have the same problems Donnyb. Do you mind telling me what time these guys post(EST or Pacific or GMT)?? I am from downunder and as it is I am having a hard time keeping up with the US games time let alone doing my own capping. I follow a few cappers elsewhere but am doing my socks. Hopefully I can do better here. 1 problem I find here is that posts are everywhere all over the place. Thanks

Smartz is in Hawaii and usually posts between 2 and 5 am EST.
Luca is usually sometime before early afternoon EST.
Big Cat is usually at least an hour before 7pm EST.
