cmon now largemouth, how can you say renteria shouldn't have been ejected after throwing an elbow, you dont think the umps knew anything more was going to happen?? 2 pitches later, sb and elbow to the face, no warnings, no nothing, just bs

Cubs gave up 2 runs in the first 7 innings.... Would Lily have done better probably not... Dempster blew the game...

Renteria had no effect on the outcome of the game...

Neither Lilly nor Renteria should have been ejected. I think Lilly was tossed in large part because of his reputation as a hothead.

Dump the Dumpster or is that Dempster. You call that a closer. That was a poor excuse for pitching. If so, all Cubbie fans will have to hold their breath and chew their nails foerever more when they see Dumpster make his march to the mound.

This is so retarded. Would Dumpster been pitching in the 8th if Lilly went 7? Hell no.

The umps screwed the Cubs, but that was Saturday night. Hudson intentionally throws at Soriano and then then umps think they are doing the game a favor by warning both benches - let the teams police themselvces, interact if it goes too far. No warnings, means the Cubs get even Saturday and do not have to do what they had to do Sunday. To throw at Lilly immediately is ludicrous. The umps just need to be consistent. Warnings should have been given just like the night before and things would have been even.

Nevertheless, the Cubs are the same old Cubs. Does not matter who you put on the team they consistently play bad baseball. Pinella is not goinjg to change it, nor are any players. They are just the Cubs. June and the season is over.
