i honestly think seattle could win the west, but im not sure how much theyre willing to spend, if at all, to improve their team around the deadline. from the looks of it, the angels are willing to go balls out to make some acquisitions. and if im not mistaken the angels have a very easy stretch of games coming up the next few weeks and they could put some distance between themselves and the rest of the division. but i think seattle could be playing meaningful games in august and september and i could see them winning that division.

ill put the cubs before the cardinals in the nl central. otherwise, i agree with your list.

putz is quietly becoming an elite closer for the mariners too. i like that team. if sexson EVER started hitting, they could be pretty good.

Hard to see the Tigers NOT being right there in the chase for the Central and WC. If they add an arm to the bullpen, they're gonna be formidable.

Yankees? Don't be fooled by their 6-game winning streak, they're still not one of the best teams in the AL...

Twins are done, horrible starting pitching overall.

AL
Boston
Cleveland
LA

AL Central has two very bad teams and the Twins who aren't any good for an AL team.

NL
NYN
MIL
ARI
SD (a surprise perhaps, but I think they claim the WC as the Giants, Colorado and LAN continue to slowly regress. The east is way too tough for the braves and with Smoltz injured and Hudson starting to come back to the MEAN, I just see it this way).

i think clev fades and it was a tough choice between yankees and seattle

NL

braves
cubs
dodgers
mets

mets starting pitching will not keep this pace up, cubs win central by default.. other choice, cards win central......
