Exactly how poor was the competition??? The fractions were worthy of $3000 claimers at some obscure midwest fair track....24:4 first quarter???? 50:1 6 furlongs in 1:15:1???? u must be joking..This is The Belmont??? or some cheap track??? To make matters worse only 2 horses were actually running at the end....a testament to the fact that no one had the energy ,stamina or both to finish the 1 1/2 miles.....these 3 year olds cannot go in the Derby Preakness and the a grueling 1 1/2 mile race and race at top level.....If u put any good allowance horse in the race that was Fresh and fit and a distance horse they would have won the race or at least been right there.....The race didnt mean anything but just proves that worn out horses will be beaten.....especially going a distance....
