About the number of people who cancelled after last night's episode of the Sopranos.

========================================================

First off, the majority of them were going to cancel after the final episode anyway.

We all know that everyone will be back when HBO comes out with their next "can't miss" show. Will it be John from Cincinnati? Not sure, but HBO has 4 new shows coming out, I believe. With their track record, one of them is bound to be great.

I have all the premium channels and HBO/Cinemax is by far the best and it's not even close. Showtime/TMC sucks as well as Starz. I like the Encore brand of Starz, but Starz is terrible, unless you like to watch Pirates 87 times a day.

Blaming HBO is a knee jerk reaction and somewhat childish. I don't think they had a whole lot of say in the finale. This was Chase's baby and it was bigger than them. Personally, I liked the ending. (not loved, liked).

Oh and one more thing, if you cancel HBO and then buy a couple of DVD's of their shows, you basically paid the same amount you would pay for a year or two's subscription anyway.

I am okay with the ending now....I think most of us were on the edge and before we realized it, the screen goes black, we felt like we were cheated or missed something.

In retrospect I didn't need to see a bloody shooting of possibly Tony or a family member to feel okay about the ending....I don't think most of us really wanted to see him get wacked.

My first question: What does this signify in a post:

=============================================

Secondly, are you sticking up for HBO or something? Like, you got their back?

HBO gave David Chase complete creative control during the entire run...they allowed him to take years off in between seasons...unheard of...HBO catered to Chase and let him have his "cake" and let him eat it too...

I agree with the notion that blaming HBO is misdirected...anyone that is disappointed in the finale should blame Chase.
