1st System Play

Finsihed up my system finally with some pitcher rankings to get each team a true power ranking. Got it updating automatically everyday. In addition to all of the very detailed rankings that include overall performance, last 7 days, human element (ESPN power rankings), etc, etc......I can now type in "home or away", opposing pitcher "L or R", and the pitcher's name and it automaitcally looks everything up and spits out a final ranking averaged with those other rankings.

I've got my line value "translation" for today's card listed below. I had some identical lines to the books laid out. One play on the card tonight left has some value here.

Features of this spreadsheet:

EVERYTHING is dynamic.

Meaning: Updated on the fly.

The only thing you have to do is click on about 12 stat feeds 1 at a time and hit the "refresh Data button, then re-sort (realphabetize) about 12 lists.

There is absolutely no inputting data of stats. The only thing you have to input right now, which I will eventually get automated, is pitcher is a lefty or righty, pitchers name, and home or away. Each of those situation-specific elements, effect the final ranking.

Basically:

10% Overall Team Strength Power Ranking
10% Last 7 Days Performance Power Ranking
20% Home or Away Power Ranking
20% Vs. LHP or RHP Power Ranking
10% Human Element (ESPN RPI Ranking, which factors in their power rankings)
30% Starting Pitcher Power Ranking
(Bullpen is factored into overall PR)

All VLOOKUP Tables are dynamic.

For example:

Team gets a minimum 100 points for having the lowest batting avergae on the power ranking chart. Team gets max 300 for having the highest.

But if the team's batting average exceeds the lowest or highest VLOOKUP Chart value, it comes back as an error because it cant find the value. So, I have a formula that scans every stat list from BA, HR, OBP, SLG%, etc, and searches for the min, max, and incremental difference, and automatically changes all the VLOOKUP tables and adjusts them on the fly, so one team always has a max 300 ranking, and one team always has a min. 100 ranking.

-I have 12 seperate web queries pulling in 12 different sets of stats from 12 different parts of ESPN's website.
-I have 12 different worksheets in the Excel System workbook.
-All Power Rankings are updated automatically.

Pitchers section still needs some work overall.
