Was thinking about this yesterday and came to the conclusion that there were two jobs I had in my twenties that stood out...caddied on the Women's tour for two su:aktion033 :aktion033 mmers and delivering beer in Orange County..the beer gig was great because one of my stops was Anahiem Sadium where I delivered all the kegs and hooked them up, also got to meet alot of ballplayers from the seventies...if you were a decent caddie, it was alot of fun but the pay back then was atrocious...looped for Donna Caponi in the U.S. Open and she finished tied for 13th...she won a whopping 1700 bucks and she gave me 170....

My favorite job...about 13 years ago me and my girlfriend at the time lived at the beach , we bid on three beach stands on 58th, 59th and 60th streets in Ocean City Md....we made good money , the first summer it did not rain once the entire summer where we got to take the day off, we were praying everyday it would rain but no, never rained, so we worked 7 days a aweek from Memorial Day to Labor Day, you made enough money in 5 months to last all year it really was a money maker...but by the end of the season we were burnt out literally!

For 3 years we did this, we had hoped to expand and eventually just manage several stands, but as time passed we got tired of the winters down there....we came back home, had a baby and split up....I still miss those days , seems like a lifetime ago.

Worked for the Gravity Games one summer back in college. It was like X Games alternative sports, but on NBC instaid of EPSN. My buddy and I just set up the events beforehand, then kept everything running smooth during the event. Our bosses were two guys in their early 30's, and used to send us to the package store first thing in the morning to buy some bloody mary mix and a 30 pack.

Other days we'd drive this huge Uhaul truck to a warehouse and load it with all the free handouts the sponsers were giving away - stuff like bars of soap, frizbees, cliff bars, pens, etc. We got the truck stuck under the doorway once because the door wasnt all the way opened, almost flipped over a forklift having races (that was some scary shit, those go pretty fast, but turn awful), and spent most of the days hanging out at the wakeboard event watching all the smokin hot chicks.

Man, I think I should get back into the events industry.

Working for Verizon Business sales Dept.

Oh. The perks. The money. The girls. The slack they gave me on my breaks and attendance.

I almost am sure I still hold the record for most business voice mail packages sold in a month (32). They put up some crazy incentive, any one who sold 30 or more VM packages would recieve 1000$ in AMEX. It was so silly, no one took it serious. Except me. I was determined to do it. And I did. While slacking off and taking long lunches etc.

I could go on forever. What a fun fun job that was. The place eventually closed down. I miss you girls and money. *MWAH*

Tout business from 20-27 years old. Was so much fun and made more money than I could ever dream of at that age. Never really thought about what I was doing to people though. Needless to say, I will not be going back when I am eligible. I will have a felony wrapped around my neck for the rest of my life and am still facing a major lawsuit, but if I had to do it again, I would in a heartbeat. It allowed me to let my mother retire and enjoy the final few years of her life as much as possible.

1) was a sportswriter in high school, attended just about any important sporting event just by flashing my "press pass". It was for a local paper, but it worked.

2) Worked in Sports Information in college. Basically went to games, kept a few stats and talked sports all day.

3) Sports book manager- when we actually made our own lines. The challenge of going up against serious sports bettors was both exhilirating and exhausting. Mentally, the best job I ever had. Of course, corporations took all that away.

You just said that you didn't realize what you were doing to people, yet you say you would do it again in a heartbeat. Seems fucked up beyond belief to me.

Royal-Sorry you see it that way, but that is really how I feel. I will not get back into it now, but at the same time, I do not have regrets as it was an experience that made me into the person that I am today. If it makes you feel better, the DOJ took damn near everything I had and the degenerate moron clients I had are looking to take the rest.

Doesn't make me feel better. Don't like bad things to happen to people in general, that's all.

Two things come to mind. When I did my internship (telecommunications/Kutztown U, Pa) it was for a PBS channel. It was so boring at first. They had shows like Pennsylvania Polka with a bunch of old farts dancing to a polka concert. I was a camera man. Anyway, one of the later assignments was an interview with then Phillies general manager Ed Wade. It was cool! It was in the Phillies clubhouse. Actually, that was the only thing cool about the internship.
The other cool job was working at K-bee toystores. This was during college. I know it sounds lame, but I benefited greatly. When the starting lineups were shipped, I was able to take what I wanted. Also, I probably pocketed around 50 playstation games. One day there was only 3 of us working. One was my friend, and the other was the manager. I was working the register and no one was in the store. I took a bag and just started throwing play station games in the bag. I left the store and put the bag in a mall trash bin. I retrieved it later. I feel bad now, but I made a lot of $$ from it and it was fun at the time.

1) One summer while in college I was a sales rep for Gold's Gym. None of the other sales reps were in shape, actually most were fat, so it benefited me greatly. Sitting by the membership counter, people would actually point at me when confronted by the other sales reps... "I want to talk to him." You then get them to buy the prepaid membership and you clear 20% of it.... it was a golden job. Got to work out for free and sleep with all of the female personal trainers.

2) Internship at the only High Current lab in the Midwest. I got to destroy some serious shit with 10,000A. It's hard to believe what you can turn into plasma.

3) Bartending. As long as you can get through the long nights and can deal the stupid jagoffs, you meet some really solid people and... oh, the ladies.

I'll go with two jobs... one a painting gig in college and, while up on a ladder one summer day, the young lady of the house came home early with some cute little associates. They gathered in the backyard and broke out some wine discussing business. Within an hour they were blasted and flashing me by pulling up their tops. One of the girls was the former high school prom date of Mr. Tom Cruise, so she was quite a little hottie.

Second job is the one I have now. Purely based on the ease at which it comes to me and my ability to make 6 figures working a 40 hour week. Loan counseling for college students and parents. A never ending market that's always hot due to the rising cost of college.
