Lebron James gets the ball with 36 seconds to go in the 1st quarter. Plenty of time to get off a shot in 6 seconds or less, right? So, whose fault is it? The players or their coaches or both? What gives?

Never? Can't agree. They do it all the time. Didn't see the play, but sometimes it's easier said than done.

Some teams are coached for these spots and others are obviously not...you should always have a plan if you have the ball in the 35-40 second range to go for the 2-1.

Look at a team like Duke who has always been great at ending halves, the Pistons and Spurs have always been very good at ending qtrs...you need a heady PG for one and Cle doesn't have that.

I think Baron Davis and the Warriors do it on a regular basis but can't remember another playoff team this year.

Can't count that last possession by the Cavs with 33.1 seconds remaining in the half. Will watch the last two quarters of the season and report in again. These Cavs are DEAD!

Happens almost all the time in the nba. SA is one of the better teams defending against it as they make it a point to try and prevent it.

Phil Jackson teams always put up a shot when able to get the 2 for 1. Makes sense to force up an off-balanced three with 30 seconds left than hold for a better shot. It's the coaches fault. Players shoudl be coached on how to handle quarters that are winding down.
