3*Detroit -114
The pitching matchup in this game I think is a huge mismatch. For those who have followed me this year Im sure you've noticed I've been very high on Bonderman all year long. In my mind, Bonderman possesses some of the best stuff in the league. From his mid to high 90's fastball to his nasty split this guy has an arsenal of pitches. He has also shown a propensity to pitch better on the road dating back from last year. For whatever reason, on the road, he allows less hits, less walks, and more strikeouts. While the Philly bats have shown signs of life lately they are going up against a offense just as potent in the Detroit Tigers. Magglio Ordonez being the centerpiece of their run-scoring offense leading the league in RBIs and AVG. Sheffield is starting to heat as well. Because I feel the Detroit Tigers have the upper hand both offensively and defensively in this game, Im riding Bonderman for 3 units.
2*Dodgers -118
2*Yankees -1 -111
1*Oakland -180
1*Giants +129
1*Atlanta +210

Its not like Sheffield is Travis Hafner or David Ortiz or something. The guy has played full seasons in the field before and has already played in the OF 4 times this year. If he didnt play in right or left it would surprise me but who knows. im probably wrong haha

yah maggs wouldnt be moving for sure unless he rests but LF is an option. Last time I remembered he played in the field was 2005. Last year he wouldve played RF and 1B every so often had he not missed so much time with the wrist surgery

i wont trust pitching matchups again, if i dont find something more convincing i skip that game, because lately or on IL games very strong pitchers lost to some week guys, if you dont believe me check yesterday:
Gorzelanny vs Loe, texas won 6-0 lol
Beckett vs Francis, rookies hamered becket with a 3 run home run.

and a lot of others lately.

FWIW, Sheffield has spelled Maglio for a couple(?) of games this year. One game in particular he's made some nice plays.

Go Tigers.

So you think its all a big crapshoot? I was on Francis yesterday. I didnt believe the pitching matchup made up for a -200 line. And Garrett Atkins is a 3rd year player
