An irate bettor at the Gold Spike Hotel and Casino reportedly lost over $18,000 on a last split second 3 pt shot by the Cavs that crushed his 2 team parlay....He needed the Spurs to cover the 2 1/2 pt spread...up by 4 with 1.9 on the clock the Cavs with no time outs threw a full court pass and chucked a 3 ball which found its mark and ruined the parlay....In a moment of weakness he threw the hot pie and hit another sportsbettor on the back of the head.......

dillrod...where do u live and where did u get this info...first of all i can't hardly believe that someone holding a 18,000.00 ticket would be hanging at the gold spike...ever been to vegas, and seen that place...it's not where folks with big parlay tickets hang...u know what i mean...but it very well could be true...maybe he just got lost and ended up there...too funny...

I can only imagine the amount of wives/girlfriends who got their asses kicked by their significant others tonight after Damon Jones hit that shot.

LOL - ain't that the truth. You'd be lucky to leave the spike with your hands not cut off if you waved around a $100 parlay ticket, much less a supposed 18k winner.

Been forever since I wandered in just so I could say I was there - but I don't think the GS even has a sportsbook so some poor sap in the giftshop must have gotten the pizza in the back of the head.

Saw a guy spill hot nacho cheese on a woman in front of him at a Red Sox/Yankees game at Fenway Park. Her boyfriend poured beer on it to cool it off as it was burning her. As the punches were landing I wondered if the guy was more pissed at the fact that it cost him a beer or that his bitch was pissed at him for dumpng beer on her.

ktvegas..that is too funny:missingte :missingte :missingte was in the spike once about 8 years ago and it was so :smoker2: i thought the place was on fire...it made me want to:puke1: ..i was trying to walk out of the place when i saw a couple of cents on the ground and i reached down to pick them up and put them in this guy's tray..:youmad: he grabbed my arm and promptly told me those were his pennies and he knew they were on the ground...i said i could give a :bigfinger about the pennies threw them in his tray and left...never to return...so i really doubt that some one wondering around the spike with a $18,000.00 parlay ticket:money8: although you never know we do live in vegas...:toast: :toast: :toast:

I heard there is a sign at the coin booth insided the GS that reads "We do not break dimes". Those bums love the copper mine there.

Tony Gwynn sounded really upset about wasting the pizza. He would have liked to add it to his jabba the hut like body.

I saw it happen. It was mushroom + sausage and it partially hit a guy on the top of his shoulder/side of his neck. The guy who got hit was a good sport and just laughed it off.

You saw it happen. That must have been a riot especially at the Spike. If you have been there you must have been to the El Cortez and the Western. Perhaps even to the Atomic Bar and liqour store on East Fremont. These places are classic. When in Vegas I make it a point to visit the above mentioned places.

El Cortez is one of my favorite spots in town. Easy in/Easy out at the side valet. Give them a sawbuck and they sit in your car while it's running waiting for you to return.
