That was fun tonight watching the cardinals self destruct at Kauffman stadium. They used 6 pitchers from the pen, they must feel pretty confident after losing 2 of 3 to the Royals.

St Loo is 2-7 in interleague, & they send Braden Looper to the mound who has struggled as of late 7.64 era 1.87 whip. His Whip is up almost .5 a man per inning, problem is he only averages 4 strike outs per start. Even his season avg's would not be good enough up against.......

Oakland who is 8-2 last in their 10 & 7-2 in interleague, They send Dan Haren out with his 1.58 era & .86 whip is leading the league & lately he has gotten some run support covering 2 of his last 3 run lines.

Given the starting pitching mismatch - the over worked St loo bull pen that has an era over 6.00 & the mirror image interleague records,

I will try Oakland -1.5 +130...

Here's a nice trend that applies to the ML but check out the avg score:

ST LOUIS is 5-20 against the money line in road games vs. an AL starting pitcher whose WHIP is 1.300 or better since 1997.
The average score was ST LOUIS 3.6, OPPONENT 6.2
