2007 NBA Champions - San Antonio Spurs*

* After Gaining an unfair advantage due to a flaw in the NBA Governing Process, went on to win final 2 games to finish off a very tough but severely handicapped opponent in the Phoenix Suns. Unfortunately true fans of the sport will never know what might of happened if there wasn't any handicap imposed on the very talented Phoenix Suns team. The outcome of the 2007 NBA season very well may have been the result of another bad decision of a closed minded and inflexible governing body.

So what happened during the 2007 Suns - Spurs series should just be swept under the table. Not in my opinion. Obviously Suns & Spurs were the 2 best teams in the playoff, unfortunately the best team may have not won this year.

Maybe your right, the best team didn't win the series.

I saw it quite differently though, Bowen shut down 2 times MVP Nash, Barbosa couldn't get his run and gun game going, ditto for Marion, TD dominated the paint, Amare was a beast on offence but a chump on the other end, D' Antoni was thoroughly outcoached by Pop... The Suns were getting a lot of marginal calls as the series went on. Instead of thinking what if they should look to improve their 7 men rosters.

That's how we should remember the series.
