He looks more than just hot. Has a very nice swing. He was a 1st round pick back in '01. For a white kid his size to be a 1st rounder, someone saw something. He actually played at LSU with teammate Ryan Theriot who was selected in the 3rd round same draft. I think they won a college championship together. He had pretty good numbers, though not phenomenal, in several years in the minors. He had been hitting .340 at AAA this year in over 200 AB's. Was part of the Sammy Sosa trade with Balt.
And he will not be back in the minors anytime SOON. Eventually? Who knows. But he's bought himself several more weeks at the very minimum.
