Does pitching matter in the CWS?

Watching the Regionals and the 1st game today, I'm beginning to wonder. I know that after a couple of games in a tourny like this, arms will start getting tired. I thought the aces pitching in game 1 might be more effective.

Those aluminum bats make a big difference.

I don't know what to say about this batting exhibition. The aces got torched, their relievers are getting torched-It's just plain goofy.

1st game nerves may be a part of it, but this is just bizarre.
