Have not played all year until about 4 days ago...won a small amount first day then proceeded to lose the next 3 days!

I have lost money every year on totals in baseball & every year I try something different and it still tanks. That is why I will no longer play them.....plus the added juice is a huge ripoff & you cant possibly get ahead when you have to lay that coupled along with all the variables in a baseball game.

I find that sometimes they are the easiest plays to spot, just by taking a quick glance at the starting pitching and bullpen ERA's, the totals for the specific ballpark they are playing in, whether it is a road or home game and whether or not it is played at day or night. These are all stats that are widely available across many sites and can really give you some good totals plays. I almost always play over's, as they are the easiest to spot with the above factors, in my opinion.

I also play Team Totals quite a bit, and find those just as valuable, if not more than totals. All in all, there is money to be made with these two types of totals either way you want to look at it.

If you don't know what you are looking at there are several very good total cappers on this site..........usually money in the bank one week at a time.

Gotta just really pick your spots. I will say a lot of them are to good to be true, you just really have to be careful in selecting a solid total to play.

I'm sorry, but to me this sounds like you're just not good enough as a totals capper. That's no embarrassment, many people lose, I myself couldn't profitably cap a game even if I had tomorrow's newspaper. But you better don't look for explanations elsewhere. The juice is not too high, most books offer the usual -110 lines, Pinnacle has Dimelines and Matchbook is often still cheaper. Also, you are always free to bet the over OR the under, and one will win (unless it's a push), so there's no way you can be cheated. It's probably best that you accept that you are not able to pick totals winners consistently and either follow proven cappers or stop betting on totals (which you apparently intend to) as these are the only ways to stop losing money.
Sorry if I sound like a teacher, but statements like "baseball totals are a HUGE ripoff" are not going to help anyone.

here is a little hint that may help a little on total.check a game total when it open say 9.5 like the boston game was last nite.if the total goes to 10 over 20 to 30 and hold strong 30 mins before game time go with the over,it will win more than it will lose............gl........ck

Interesting thread. By the way, who are a couple of those "totals" cappers?

I'm not very good on my own. In fact, I suck at it. Wouldn't mind tailing a consistantly good totals person.

Thanks for any suggestions provided.

I would love to hook up with that pops69 group, but unfortunately I don't have any talents they need at the moment.

However, they seem extremely competent.

Totals are the best bet in baseball in my opinion. The key to betting
totals is take the over as many times as possible. You are always in
the game until the very end.

You could have under 7.5 and the score after two innings is 4-4....
you are now gone....lost game after only two of nine innings.

With overs...you are never dead. You could have over 10 and the score
might be 3-1 going into ninth....you still have a chance to cover.

I do well with totals and think it is best play in baseball. I play only
three games at a time. Playing over three plays in any sport is us-
ually a losing program over the long haul.

For what it's worth.
