It seems that about 20% of the videos I try to play, won't play.

I get a black background with the circular white clock-face icon thingee, but it won't play. Others must get it to play because they leave comments.

Any ideas what is wrong ?

I'm having the same problem.

I often try stuff that wont play.

Happened about the same time they gave you the 'try beta' option.

I have seen a bunch of sites use this, I am already sick of looking at it.

Maybe Ttinco or somebody can say if it is possibly related to having Comcast.

I don't know when Youtube started Beta, but I've only had this puzzling no-play problem recently.

It would be interesting if a few others could report if they can view the Bush drunk video ( the first one), and if they use Comcast or not.

I noticed that whenever I have the mlb.com homepage up, a youtube video would only play for like 12 seconds and then freeze. As soon as I closed mlb.com and restarted the video, it played fine. Try just playing teh video with nothing else running in teh background.

I have Comcast & it plays fine. It's most likely something with your IE install or maybe a firewall issue.
