For those that dont know already,...I love making lines. I want to take a stab at this game for Monday. Take your pick on the ML.

Looks like the hotshot rookie just called up from the farm system will be on the mound for MIL. Tough line to set. Lowry will pitch for SF. But the MIL bats are heating up again.

My guess is that MIL will be a slight home doggie.

SF -115

I believe it's never too early to start planning ahead. I'm trying to see how close I can get this line to what the actual opening line will be...which will be posted in about an hour...

that is what Fat Tony was asking about...my lines for the WNBA in which I would post before they were released (and I would make my plays accordingly). I find it better to plan ahead then to sit there looking at the lines with a blank stare 10 minutes before the game starts and then just flip a coin to see who I'm going to bet on...

BTW, if I get some time I'll start posting my WNBA lines Fat Tony, but those are VERY time consuming...

I feel this line should be:

SF +126
Mil -134

I think Gallardo is going to impress those who dont know who he is already...and the Brewers have hit Leftys pretty well this year. I will be taking the Brewers and I'm guessing they will be around -109..

Interesting line. I like the Brewers in this one too. Granted I am a homer on this one. But I hope you are wrong and I get them a better price.

BOL BZ.

(Edit...I see that CRIS has a line at MIL -130. Yikes!)

This is a tough m/u to create a line for because its hard to tell who knows about Gallardo..I feel the line should be in the -130's, but I expect it to be a lot lower. The 1st reply to this was from someone that feels the Giants would open as small favs. I didnt want to make a post saying "'Gallardo!!!!" because people will think I'm promoting a pick. I rather have a discussion about guessing where the line will be in this situation, this is how I find theRX beneficial. Every day I am going to post a matchup 2 days in advance (so that we have some time to gauge the m/u BEFORE the lines come out) and post my lines for it and have you guys vote on it to see where the line should be and we can have a nice discussion on that matchup and it may benefit all of us in the long run...

Gallardo had something like 111 strike outs in like 72 innings of work before being called up (don't quote me on those numbers....just referencing them from memory of something I had read awhile ago).

I think this kid will be solid. But it's his first start and the only reason they called him up now was due to Capuano's injury.

Brewer's bats are back again (hopefully they will stay hot). So I will probably take a chance on the kid. I will also take the Over as insurance too, just in case it doesn't go well for him. It is 8.5 right now. Maybe I can hit both.

your stats are correct, however I would not take the Over is this game...I'm not saying take the 'Under' either. I think Mil at any price less than -130 is the play here

So you have a lot of faith Gallardo? Is that the reason for avoiding the Over? I like him too and have been waiting for this call up for some time.

yes, and I respect Lowry enough not to bet an Over of 8.5

I think it should be:

Over 8 -115
Under 8 +105

Gallardo has FILTY stuff, 5 superb pitches that he can throw for strikes. It may take him a few starts to get comfortable (that may be all that he gets) but I think he will have tremendous value early on...until he becomes a name everyone recognizes...

Kid will be a number 1 or 2 starter within 2 years. Unreal.

I am really excited to see him pitch. I won't pin all my hopes on his first start, but I do have really high near-future and long term expectations for this kid. Let's hope his debut is great!

BOL to all Brew-Crew backers tomorrow! :toast:
