The trade Chad Ford has proposed on espn.com, the 3-way with Chicago and Washington, that sounds good to me. And it's feasible.

I'm too lazy to type it all up here, so someone else can copy and paste. I know the Wiz Kids would get Ben Gordon, Tyrus Thomas, and P.J. Brown, and send Arenas and Etan Thomas to L.A.

Ya Skins your probably the person to ask this, I have been wondering if the Wizards try and get in on this. I mean it makes way too much sense. With Arenas saying he will leave Washington D.C. why not try and get Kobe? I know if they trade Kobe they definitely want to trade him to the Eastern Conference and Wizards make sense to me... but I hope the Bulls can do it

He's going to San Antonio for Fransisco Elson and Beno Udrique and 2 second round picks - but first he has to sign a promissory note to Pop that he won't be selfish or the deal is off.

Wizards should trade Jamisson and filler for Zach Randolph... He is no longer wanted in Portland...

Lakers should not move Kobe. They need to trade Lamar and Bynum for a stud an a veteran PG...

gyno, I use a friend's Insider account.

5 star, first off, Arenas NEVER said he was leaving D.C. All he said was he was going to opt out, and honestly, who can blame him? He's going to make a shitload more money, become a max player.

Even though I hate Kobe, I certainly wouldn't mind him playing for the Wizards...but he doesn't particularly get along with Caron Butler, and the offense isn't designed for one player to dominate the ball. That's why the three-way makes so much sense for the Wizards: the Wizards would actually be able to run the offense the way it's designed to work with Gordon, Thomas, and Brown than it ever would with Kobe.

If they can get that package from Chicago, or somehow swindle Kobe from the Lakers, I'd be a happy man.

And if either trade goes through, the Wizards can still either keep Jamison for the year, or ship him to Portland to land Zach Randolph, who'd also be a great fit. Guy would carve up the Eastern Conference, and Jamison's in the last year of his contract.

Either trade also makes the Wizards a deeper squad. Hopefully they can find a way to get Navarro over too.

This is all speculation, of course, but at least now a trade seems more likely because of Kobe's statement yesterday.

The offseason is going to be much more entertaining than the Finals.

Raj... Kobe and Caron are good friends...Caron was Kobes closest friend on the Lakers and he was pissed off when he was traded...

Caron was on sports 980 a few days ago talking about his relationship with Kobe and how they are pretty tight and they still kept in touch...

if i remember correctly Caron and Kobe were actually really tight and that was one of Kobe's major beefs with upper management was when they traded Caron

I'm not talking about their personal relationship. I'm aware of how close they are. But on the court, Caron wasn't nearly as effective, despite his averages, as he should have been.

Butler thrives in the princeton offense, and isn't suited to be a stand-still shooter on the perimeter waiting for kick-outs. He's at his best when he's creating for himself on pull-ups from 15-18, and getting to the basket.

I'm sure they could make it work somehow, but Kobe is an awful fit in the offense. If they dealt for Kobe, I wouldn't be surprised if Jordan was on his way out as well.

But at the end of the day, who's really gonna complain if you have Kobe fucking Bryant on your team? Especially if you're in the Eastern conference.

Kobe is teaming up with TO to start Team "ME". But currently there is heated discussion as to which of them will be in charge. Both are considering a change of venue to individual sports where their true talents can be displayed without the distraction of teammates, coaches and the like.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him stay in LA or end up in Phoenix for Marion and Barbosa or Denver for Iverson and Hilario.
