I think, and so do others think Gallardo is the next big thing.
Many have him a notch above Lincecum.
Yavani Gallardo has been clocked as high as 103 hph.
Currently at AA he's 5-2 ,1.63 ERA, 85 K's in 77 IP (10 per 9).
Owns a WHIP of 1.01.

Might be worth a play, SF Giants faced slower than slow Wakefield last night, now has to face a Nolan Ryan type.

Drawback, phenoms usually don't fare that well in their debut, and I am not sure if I want to lay -130 on that.

But I do want to see this guy pitch, he's arsenol is filthy and beyond electrifying.

I will be at the game and I am sure the atmosphere for our hot prospect and Bonds in Milwaukee will be electric. Weeks is back today, where he is batting is still a mystery, Hart has been doing well in the leadoff spot and it will be interesting to see Yost's lineup tonight. I think Gallardo should be able to tame this slumping lineup and pull off a Win or a no decision at least.

Absolutely love the play. This kid is the real deal. All star material even. Weeks is back and that is def a plus, but im curious to see where he will be inserted into the lineup as OF HART has been doing awesome in the leadoff

I know I'm not a big poster..... but:

Playing ON rookie pitchers making their Major League debuts has been very profitable so far this year, regardless of whether they are a dog or favorite.

Bailey, Clippard, Andrew Miller, Slowey, Masset, Litsch, Owings, Albers, Villanueva, Keisler, Lerew, Chico, and Speigner ALL won (or their team won) in their first-ever MLB starts this year.

And "fading" these pitchers in their SECOND MLB start has also been profitable, especially if they WON in their debuts.

Those are his numbers from last year. He's 8-3 with a 2.90 at triple A Nashville this year. Ridiculous 110 k's in 77 2/3's innings with only 28 walks.

Impossible to know for sure how a blue chip prospect reacts in his first start. But he obviously has the talent to be a better then average pitcher right now. An average major leaguer couldn't put up a sub 3 era in triple A, especially in the Pacific Coast League.

And its not like the Giants lineup is intimidating except Bonds.

I didn't realize that it was a fact. Everyone, call your books and see if you can cancel your wagers, and/or bet the other side huge, since apparently it's 100% fact that SF is gonna win tonight.

Never said it was guaranteed bro. I dont like this bet only bc of the pitching match up. I also dont think the Brewers are as good as advertised. But no way should they be favorites against Lowry with this kids first MLB start. He will be LUCKY to make it 6 innings

I figured the 1st inning to be rough. He'll get better as the game progresses and the jitters wear off
