And while "Slammin' Sammy" may very well get the historic blast this week, his team is dogged in today's series opener for good reason. First the Cubs have a decided advantage on the mound with Sean Marshall who is 3-2 with a 2.12 era. Marshall has posted quality starts in each of his five games, and could easily be 5-0 if he got any run support. The lefty beat the Mariners in his last game, giving up two runs on seven hits over a career-high eight innings. He did not walk a batter and was efficient, needing 94 pitches. He's never faced the Rangers. Robinson Tejada (5-7, 6.49 ERA) will oppose Marshall Tejada is 1-2 with a 9.19 ERA this month. Two other items of note. The Cubs are 6-2 in Marshall's last eight starts while the Rangers are just 3-8 in Tejada's last 11 starts. I like both the runline and moneyline as I side with the Cubs

Ace just wondering where you get these writups from?? I know you say you pay someone to type what you say but looking at the Cubs website under probable pitchers and scouting report I see very similar statements like 100% but either way its great knowing you do your homework for all your followers and thats a good thing. to lay -140 on the cubs on the road is insane. especially if derek lee is out and the cubs have to play derosa at first and use cliff floyd as the DH.

I would never tell anyone how to cap but do you factor in "BULLPENS" as they throw at least 1/3 of the game??

BASE ON THIS

Starting Pitcher - 60 percent
Batting Strength - 15 percent
Bullpen (the relief Pitchers) 15 percent
Current Form - 10 percent.

A good pitcher can put the ball just where the batter can't hit
it, and that means the batter can't score - and if he can't score,
his side can't win.

WHIP tells you how many runners on bases a pitcher allows per
innings pitched, which is a much more comprehensive stat.
Anything under or around 1.4 is respectable, but anything over
that figure and the pitcher's team are going to struggle. WHIP
takes more account of the opposition than ERA, and therefore
gives you a more reliable yardstick.
Another good thing about being WHIP oriented is that this
statistic is rather under-used by bettors in comparison to the
ERA, so you won't always find yourself one of the crowd,
rushing to get on a team whose pitcher has a good-looking ERA
before the bookies cut their prices.

I think the biggest adjustment you are going to have to make betting baseball vs football,basketball etc......... Is you are going to be betting the moneylines and not point spreads. There is a huge difference.

Your system seems to be focusing on which team is better, team A or team B. Thats only half the battle.

Its not very hard to figure out which team is better in baseball. The hard part is figuring out which team has value vs the moneyline.

I THINK ABOUT THIS EVERY TIME I MAKE A BET IN BASEBALL:thumbsup:
