Bedard who is baltimore's ace is pitching tomorrow against SD.....he has given up 3, 2, 2 runs in the month of June..... and price is at +102(BJ)....any reason to why I should not unload on this play tomorrow?? David Wells did okay also, given up 3,3,4 runs in the month of June but only last 5 innings for 1st two games and 6 innings for his last game......

Bedard will pitch a great game and then the pen:

The Orioles don't have the highest ERA among AL bullpens yet, but they are getting closer every day. Their strikeouts and home runs allowed are pretty good. But the 102 walks in 202 innings are killing them. As a group, they allow a .266 batting average, but a .356 OBA. The more runners you put on base, the more are going to come around to score.

Not saying you shouldn't bet on the Orioles but the price is about right. Let's face it, Baltimore has been stinking the place up of late. They are a team (before tonight's game) that is 1-9 their last 10 games, they are on the road and have a horrible bullpen. San Diego on the other hand is 13 games over .500, they are at home and they have the best bullpen in baseball. Like I said, not necessarily saying don't bet them if you feel so strongly but this is far from being a sure thing. Just my two cents.

I have played the Over the last 2 nights in a contest (and I admit I got lucky tonight not expecting SD to only score 1 late run!). However, for tomorrow, I am reversing course & picking Under. I also have a lean on the Orioles as well. Take it with a grain of salt, though. I don't pretend to figure out why the O/U line is set at 7.5 for the 3rd game (with Bedard on the mound??) when it was at 7.0 the 1st 2 games. If it's a trap, then I am getting in it anyway.

The O/U might be a little higher because it's a day game and the ball carries farther during the day there.

My input to your thought is that BEDARD is the better play here and that is because "OLD MAN" Wells is NOT 100%. Although he does pitch long enough in games for San Diego to bail him out, lol, not today. Baltimore is hitting now and look for them to get to Wells early. Bedard's control is back and he will go deep in this game where their bullpen shouldn't screw this one up.:money8:
