Interesting note here:

Can you Fade someone's 'fade' ??

Double fade or reverse fade ?

Fade the Fade.

Always seems to me, when someone, anyone tells me to 'fade' something, I GET FADED, as in, my wallet gets FADED.

Here's a tip from me to you: (and yes, dammit, I already know all you pro's will blast me for this, but I'm telling you = this works a bit, NOT every game, but nothing works EVERY game, right? Otherwise, you would NOT be reading this right now.)

OK.

Print out all the games for today. Then, go to ESPN or USA Today and write down beside each starter, their salary and WL record and team WL record when they pitch.

Now. Write down the overnite line, the opening line, and the current line. Then, about 30 min BEFORE game time, write down the line at that time.

Here it is: you are looking for:
1. a top paid pitcher, say making millions compared to his opponent who makes several K. ex. 4.6 million to 400K. It's very common.

Now, look at the line movement. Is it in favor or against the top-paid pitcher? If you see a steady drop against the top-paid pitcher, you have a play. Take the dog (usually the dog). If you see line support (no lower than opening line, it is a chalk play).

This shit works. Try it out. Work with it.

more later,

Glad you asked.

OK. compare both pitchers WL and team WL. You are looking for the guy who has the better WL in both, ind and team records. That is best, however, you want them to work WITH the above criteria, as well.

What I do, is I look for (and circle in red) overall era, last three era, team and ind WL, starting salary and then compare all this to the line movement.

If something looks ODD? Like a guy who has a superior era, WL and makes more money, then the line moves AWAY from him? Something is wack. Go with the other team. There is a reason why, but who knows what it is.

I look for the most obvious with the era, last three era (I'd like to see a drop from overall to last three in era, AND, I'd like to see a pitcher have both overall and last three BETTER than his opponent. More wins AND AND AND less losses, as well. Then, that LINE MOVEMENT has to bolster, back-up, these numbers on paper. Money talks and bullshit walks (as do some pitchers). Money is important in the salary area, BUT, if the guy is tanking OR is making less than last year (there are a couple of those guys), and they have seen better days? Watch out. Some hungry young pitchers out there who have been 2-4 years in the league, working that salary UP. Look at that, too. I like to see a guy who is making more every year and is pitching a LOT OF INNINGS! Compare that, as well, how many innings is he avg per start. KEEPS THOSE BULLPEN BUTTHEADS out of your action.

And we all know about that crap.

Hope this helps.

gl to all,

Uncle Steve
